Just thinking about the need for investment in club etc... Would it not make a great deal of sense all round for Robinsons to buy / invest in club...

Especially with their part in the Mill House master plan and development etc.... Buying the ground would enable them to gain a great deal of money from the development - on top of their role in doing the developing!

Do you have any idea how profitable running a football club is?

Unless you're a multimillionaire with a solid income you'd be mad to take on a club in the current era as more than a plaything/tax write off.

Oh and the last thing any football club like ours is the ground being sold to owners whose primary business is property development that always ends well.

I doubt there is anybody out there who either can or would even want to buy Hartlepool United. Why weren't IOR seeking this additional investment before the TMH shambles? Obviously because they wanted the ground which is the primary reason we have been allowed to almost terminally decline. What Hodcroft and Green have over seen is nothing short of utter neglect and arrogant stubborness.

Yesterday confirmed what we have all been thinking for a few years. Our club has been strangled to death.

They have been seeking external investment; for at least two years.

So another reason the CEO of the Year is a failure? Or, the investment was there but it required the removal of Green from position and why would he bring an idea like that to Uncle Ken.....

They do quiet well now chip. Just built new accommodation for students in partnership with ccad. Seem to be building stuff all over. My brother in law works for them and he's always saying how many new buildings they are involved in.

Probs wouldn't touch pools

But the reasons they fail to get investment is because local businesses who may marginally be interested will see that the current owners have no ambition in investing so why should they come in, fund any development, only for IOR to strip any profit that's there like they have done for the past five years.

turn over doesn't mean profit, it could be running at a loss.

I always find them shop bought apple turnovers are damp and squabby, problem is, when you see them, they quietly call you over and whisper " Buy me" and I always fall for it and end up saying, "Never again" banghead
