I am at the Millhouse from 2pm , game on , supporters association is a must , but we have to start somewhere , anyone else with legal input ? It doesn't matter who it is where it starts , or where it's at to start , I have volunteered me , and that in my opinion is a start , any one from S.A free ?

I'm in! Top man Nobby.

At last some tangible action.

OK, not everyone can attend - but as many as possible - it is a start!

I'll be in the Millhouse at 2:00 tomorrow - all we need is SA representation and a lawyer to get things going........

Just to add it is not my intention to run rough shot over anyone , it doesn't matter who attends I know very few can make it at short notice , not a problem , there will be no major discussions , no appointing anyone to anything , no lengthy arguments about what is currently going on , just a chat to see how we can go about this in the correct manner , I am sure this will lead to a starting point and that's all it is intended to be , a handful is a good a start as any , cheers UTP

Doesn't matter what you are!

The point is that 'we' need to do something - anything - we've seen CornerFlag and Nobby make suggestions - let's work on these and cut the crap - let's try to save our club in the way that guys like Brian, Dalts, McPhail, Billy Ayre, etc, played for US....

We need a lawyer to be present! Surely someone on here is one?

Fair point on the other thread about a secure dialogue - is there a way that the mods can set this up and direct 'sensible' folk to it?

For us exiles who are on the other side of the planet, it would be great to know the outcome of any action meetings or even people's true thoughts on what is going on.

I'm lucky if I can get to two games a year, Morecambe was my last one (and yes I stuck it out to the bitter end).

What with the lack of anything out of the club and official site, the Hartlepool Mail providing hardly any Pools coverage of the real issues or the non-existant recognition from any of the 'big' media websites like the BBC, The Bunker is where I and many others come as a source of information and the only way we can try and guess what is going on.

I know someone mentioned a webcast or something similar, that would be great or even an edited video version of the meeting that could be made available online (probably need password protection). Even some minutes of the meeting would be appreciated - by PM perhaps?

Anyway, reading the Bunker is always a pleasure and for the guys who are standing up to be counted I thankyou for your efforts and keep the flag flying for those of us who support from afar - I'm sat at work in a Pools T-shirt in the Philippines as I type and will always show my support wherever I go.

I'm also largely based abroad, live too far away to get back for meetings and would like to be kept up to speed.

Minutes of meetings or the like would be great if anyone's prepared to do that.

The Corner Flag is open tonight from 7pm. Members of the committee will be there. This would be good chance to get a time and place decided for an action group meeting.

Bobby - you were sound enough to make the first suggestion with regard to time and venue - do you think that the presence of SA folk makes this a better suggestion?

I'd start a new thread and get the mods to sticky it since it's less than an hour and half since previous proposed time.

Anyone any good at making websites? This is a must to raise awareness and keep people informed of developments. It was hopefully also stop the divide between forums.
The supporters club's website is part of the official site...that's not going to work.

Several folk have mentioned the Exeter City experience - it is definitely worth looking at their website - http://ecfcst.org.uk/.

There is enough detail on this website to provide a framework for any Hartlepool United initiative.

The draft audited 2014 financial statements are also worth a look - give a feel for the level of personal contributions and the relatively small amount that they paid for their shareholding. The latter point gets me to what, for me, would be the starting position - would KH work with a Trust? If he had the appetite to help then the task would be far less onerous (albeit the Exeter website gives a sense of the serious amount of hard work which will be involved) - also, his co-operation would massively assist in securing FL approval.

So would a positive outcome for the meeting be a partnership approach (SA, Mill House, Bunker, ITB, etc, etc) with a nominated representative being tasked with asking KH if he would entertain the possibility of selling IOR's shares in HUFC to a trust for a nominal sum - and to talking about the debt write off in such a way as to not cause any tax charge on the trust?

This is the key part, would KH do this and write off the debt? He looked as though he was going to do so with TMH so why not Pools.

Given the amount of bile and personal abuse hurled his way (and still being hurled - rightly or wrongly) would KH be willing to work favourably with those who have taken part in this?

Frankly, most of the problems have been caused by KH's not being willing to work with any of us. He's been asked often enough, and many posters have said they've sent non-abusive emails which have received no reply.

I don't support personal abuse, but it has to be seen in the context of the culture KH has established at the Club. At the very least, fans have been manipulated and exploited, which has led to justifiable anger and frustration.

Very true. And I fully understand why there is so much anger and frustration....but if the plan is to get him to look on any proposals favourably then perhaps a less confrontational approach may work. It seems as if they may now be keen to seek a suitable way out of this mess.

To put it another way, if KH is looking for "a suitable way out of this mess", we're willing to listen to any proposals. We can't respond until he speaks.

changing the time just an hour and a half before the meeting was due to take place probably didn't help.

Nothing. Maybe everyone decided to join the men's choir that was taking place in the other room? I showed up at the said time, had a pint, waited a while and when there was still no sign of anyone, sacked it off.

Someone said a while ago "there's not enough will for a supporters trust" I didn't believe him. I do now.

... I agree with Misterb.

Shame. Yeah, I'm currently seeking help with some anger management classes. My leader tells me my anger is brought on from engaging with dickheads, so I'll have to end this conversation now unfortunately.

As has already been said the most sensible time to have any sort of meeting would be after the match on Saturday as people are already in the area so there is far more chance of having a decent turn out.

In the real world people have kids, work late, work out of town, live out of town, are skint and many are quite reserved. So for those reasons having a meeting on a non match day to kick things off was always going to be a non starter. Why not give it a go on Saturday? There may be 10, 20 or 50 there....
