Well, not really, Harrison signing permanently was by no means a certainty and is an excellent piece of business. Featherstone I wasn't expecting to see back, not too arsed that he is but he adds cover. Morgan in too makes it a busy day.

1 in 1 out is just negative spin.

Agree it's negative but it's the truth. I wanted backing in this window. We have had 4 in and 4 out. That's not backing. Nothing's changed for me. I still think our squad is way too small and if a couple of key players get injured I don't see the replacements that will be good enough.

When these supposedly took over Harris said we would be backed but it's yet another blatent lie.

Very hard to be positive with all the shit that's gone on

Can't be arsed counting the owners' lies any more, but that's bang on so far as the football is concerned.

Pools have a decent first eleven (assuming Morgan has something to offer) but the current bench offers very little - Miller back and a couple more Ronnie Moore picks could change that.

Ah well, the emergency loans window reopens in a week so there'll only be a short interruption to the "Moore hopes to have someone in by Friday" tag line!

Don't forget the emergency loan window opens in a weeks time so not the end of the world if we can't get sorted today.

Would be good to go into Saturday's game however with another CB and forward, and if the rumoured Compton for Monkhouse swap comes off that would be great

So who has signed Harrison then? Ken? Surely TMH can't sign players?

My point also...try reading my post again...even slower.

The way it reads to me is the deal was ready to announce January 1st but because the new owners were full Of shit and had no intention of spending any money this was kept back till today in attempt to make them look good

4 in 4 out and of the 4 that's come in 1 has already left, 2 are loans and the other was done and dusted before these took over. It does not read well especially as this Harris joker claimed we would be backed

The way it reads to me is we've got a manager who likes to take a look at players before he signs them.

We haven't had one of them for a while, hence the heap of shite he inherited.

So financially its about par for par. Wages will be similar give or take and the squad size is exactly the same. All thats actually happened is that we've had a quick game of lower league musical chairs.

Still a lot more players in today than I ever expected given recent events. I expected 0 and always assumed Bingham would go back at some point.

Forgive me for trying to find even the smallest positives in this dire shithole we find ourselves in.

Its a similar sized squad but much better balanced and with better quality throughout.

This ^^ and the emergency loan window reopens in a week and by the sounds of it Ronnie still wants to bring a few more in.

Harrison signing permanently must mean we have another loan slot we can fill too.

This Morgan chap, doesn't sound like he's got loads of goals in him but it does sound like he works hard. That might be enough if Fenwick and Franks can keep banging them in.
Mirfin sounds solid, just hope he's fit.
Still delighted about Tshi... really wasn't expecting him to stay on.
Ronnie is certainly earning what little we pay him!

The downside to changing the team is that I'm more worried about getting a result on Saturday now.

Anyone notice Comptons twitter now features a picture of him playing for Pompey?

As good as he was for us, and as disappointed as we are to see Bingham go, he only scored one goal in 5 which in anyone's book is not a great scoring record. It was what he brought to the team that we'll miss.

I think you are right in saying that if Morgan works as hard and puts defenders under as much pressure, then he should create space and chances for Franks and Fenwick, and hold things up for Woods and Tish (to his mates)to run onto.

If morgan can play the same role as bingham then i,l be happy with that.
He might even score some headed goals.
We got a chance of staying up now ronnie seems to be getting the best out of most of the players.

The portsmouth game is massive win and we can suck them teams on 30 points right into it Then two home games.
COME ON YOU MIGHTY BLUES

Saturday will be the defining game of our season IMO possibly our history. If we win it will show that we have the mentality and the capability to go to places like Portsmouth and turn over a currently struggling side. This will make other teams around us sit up and think hang on Hartlepool aren't dead and buried yet and with a bit of luck close the gap. On the other hand if another away defeat occurs it will just show that we are piss poor on the road and something that MUST change regardless of home form. A point and we just need to keep backing up with home form which surely won't last forever

I dont think he will be asked to play the same role or indeed if he could play the same role to be honest. Bingham was hassling players and they were shit scared of his pace so were always on edge and an extra yard or so deeper in an attempt to stop him getting behind meaning we got more room in front of their defence. Yes Morgan will win more headers and probably hold the ball up better but imo to get the best out of him he need pace alongside him and we aint got it. Were not blessed with decent wingers and although Franks pops up with some goals, the amount of times he manages to get a decent cross in is low. From free kicks and corners he should be a nuisance like and hopefully occupies an extra defender allowing Fenwiok more space.

Id imagine we will play a lot different to accommodate him and imagine a change of formation will be in order. Hopefully they take to it as well as they did the 4-3-3 against Plymouth.

Id settle for a point at Pompey to keep our little mini unbeaten run going.

I was talking to a Plymouth supporter on Saturday who said he is good with his feet but crap in the air. Hopefully he will bring the other players into the game.

I think there definitely are positives to be had, not least from the performance Saturday.

Todays signings look good on paper.

The only worry is that it might be too little too late but at least there's a bit of hope now, which there wasn't really a few weeks ago.

If we do get out of the dire shithole, it will be down to the manager, players and fans. The owners don't really come out of this with much credit at all do they ?

Can't argue with that no. The new owners have talked a good talk and done no more than IOR would have anyway. Those who were skeptical of TMH when they first came in have turned out to be right, although I always wanted to see what they did in January first. Which is very little as it turns out.

Why is he changing his profile pic to one playing for another team. It's unbelivable how he's getting paid. Should be sacked

He's a wind up merchant who'll be playing for some team in Barry next season. I wouldn't waste any more energy on the subject.

He has no respect for the club or the fans. He appears to be a self obsessed individual who as I have said many times before is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. His career will be over pretty soon. I doubt he has many skills to call upon thereafter. Toss Pot.

It's from his debut for Pompey v Bournemouth. Cannot Beleive he's changes his pic to this when we play them next.

Reading into his career he got himself into trouble at Pompey after bad mouthing the manager on Twitter. When will this boy learn.

We have to fine him as a minimum for this latest piece of unprofessionalism

A lot of the players who were on Pools' books at the start of the season have reacted positively to everything that has happened since Ronnie Moore arrived, but there's a couple who seem to be on the outside looking in. Compton is one, Brad Walker another?

You'd expect Walker to be pushing hard for a place but he never seems to get mentioned and is miles behind Tshibola and Woods on the form he's shown this season.

Come on Brad, show us what you're made of!
