got told the other week at the match that sams phone is red hot with agents ringing at all hours, but as soon as they mention a 20% pay cut if we go down the agent says no thanks!!

i find it crazy that nobody will sign when you have carlisle, york, tranmere etc offering players deals for 6 months and players are signing, somethings not right i hope it gets sorted because we the fans dont deserve whats going on.

support at tranmere was fantastic and the players responded with the best performance of the season, lets hope they continue on saturday. neversaydie!!

Have you read any of the other threads?

20% pay cut 'if' we go down? The manager doesn't have a contract and as things stand come May the club has a very uncertain future. We are only signing players on loan because we don't have owners who committed to paying wages beyond this season. Hence no permanent signings apart from short term deals like Featherstone and Smeltz.

I find it crazy that you think the club in its current state would even consider a permanent signing. Other than someone like Morgan who has the choice of a 9-5 job or stick it out for a couple of more seasons.

Don't you find it funny, that this announcement tommorow is on the 30th of January? I'm not saying this was all a con to excuse the lack of signings, far from it, but it's worked out perfectly for them, funnily enough. Someone knew what they were doing.

if they genuinely are saying if we go down a 20% cut they want shooting. Surely the business man would cut 10% off the current "norm" for wages, and say, keep us up and you get 20% rise next season. Sign on 18 month contract. surely that rise could be cushioned by the 750k we'll save from going down...

Oh hang on, I'd say we're already as good as down. We've played 27 games and won only 4, have 19 left and need to find 10 wins at least.

Its all agreed at Carlisle according to Curle, not what we need anyway at the moment Curl said he isn't fit and is a long term project.

Does anyone want marvin Morgan. His record is piss poor and personally I don't think he is the kind of striker were looking for. Saying that you would have to spend money to get an actual goalscorer in so I suppose it makes sense

Beggars can't be choosers unfortunately and I trust Ronnie. His signings so far have done very well.

Hes a bit different to the other strikers in terms of style of play. Gives us more options. He might not score many, hopefully hes good at creating for others?

While it was inevitable and annoying Bingham has helped us get a bit closer (albeit not much) to safety. So his addition even short term has been worthwhile. The problem now is can we get anyone in as good or better.

Hopefully if it is Morgan he does well. Those stats seem to suggest he should be a reasonable signing.
