I'd like to congratulate him on his display today. The stick and shite he has to put up with from the terraces at times is embarrassing, more often than not it has been deserved and his confidence must have been shattered at times. But I thought today he showed a lot of bottle to play like that, his work rate was excellent and if he continues to get in scoring positions like he did today the goals will keep coming.

I'm not saying he was faultless and he still makes some poor decisions but he seems to be improving game by game, keep it up.

Well done Franksy.

PS Scott Fenwick - Find of the season. When he's fully fit he will be a handful for any defence.

I let rip at him after about five minutes when he was a bit weak going in for a tackle just in front of me. Afterwards he went on to score twice and had a damn good game. I'd like to think my words inspired him.

Franks did do well today with his goals but he still made plenty of mistakes. His decision making is still terrible and the stick he gets is usually deserved IMO. I doubt I have ever seen a player in a pools shirt fuck about so much when in crossing positions.

The problem with Franks is that his final ball into the box is 9/10 very poor, yet Franks best quality has to be his work rate no matter what the score or the time in the match he always gives 100%

Have to say though think Dan Jones and as said above Fenwick have been the finds of the season

Great finish for the 2nd and put in a great tackle in lead upto the 3rd.

Credit where it's due to Franksy. One things for sure he always gives it a go and whilst his delivery and tackling are not always brilliant he's always capable of hitting the back of the net as he did today so well done mate. Let's have a couple more next week down at Pompey.

If we go back to two up top I'd stick him through the middle. With the ball at his feet to take someone on and provide a cross he is often poor but he does seem to do well when running onto the ball.

Well without the filter of deciding you hate a player and then run down everything he does..... Franks scored 2 and made the 3rd goal today and also put a few excellent balls into the box. He always works hard and whilst he may not be the most gifted player (hence the fact he plays for us) I think he gets OTT stick on here.

Funnily enough a few wrote Fenwick off as a non league pub player that Murray was desperate to sign after a couple of games.....

Today was great all round imho lots of effort, commitment and work rate and some good football thrown in for good measure. On the pitch there seems hope for the future, sadly with ownership and stability off the pitch looking disastrous it's a massive shame as we could build on this even if we go down

Not taking anything away from Franks, performance but wasn't it Duckworth who set the 3rd goal up?

Yes I think you're right Fensy, that's what I thought with my eyes from the Town End I was persuaded otherwise by Eddie Kyle on Tees when we were driving home after.

So yes should trust my own eyes after all and not Eddie Kyle's

Bingham & Franks both put in blocks/tackles which led up to Duckworth storming forward & squaring to Fenwick to score
