Are any of the bookies offering odds on how long Ronnie will last as Pools manager?

I don't mean he'll get sacked, but I do wonder if he will walk? Even for a man with shed loads of self-belief this job is a Herculean task.

From the noises he made when he came in it was pretty obvious he thought he could get more out of the present playing squad than his predecessors had done- till the Morecambe game, when he found out there really is no way to polish a turd. His comments to the media afterwards said it all.

Add in all the players he hasn't been able to persuade to join him (including the 2 loanees he thought he'd get in this week) and it does look like his hands are going to be pretty much tied till the end of the season, short of a massive change of heart by the owners.

Will a manager who has never been relegated in his career really fancy taking Pools into the Conference on a record low number of points? Whatever that record currently is, we must be in with a chance of beating it!

My fingers are crossed for the Cheltenham game, but if it's another bad defeat...

Must admit I am thinking Cheltenham is almost must win.

Of course, strictly speaking, it isn't but we really, really need a win now to trigger our unlikely survival bid

A battling performance and a win, however its achieved, would give Moore something to work with and lighten the mood all round.

Looking forward to Harrison and Jones competing for 90 minutes at least.

I think it's very fair to say Russ Green is very good at bullshitting to potential managers.

Imagine my disappointment opening this thread to discover this isn't the latest item in the club shop. I'd have bought it. Mind you I bought the Paul Murray one and it stopped after 40 odd days.
