You would think so, but didn't we have 5 players training for us all mysteriously not sign for us?

He already plays for burton but has been told he can leave

According to rumours and the owners are being judged on rumours that failed to materialise

Why would Moore need to see Sharps in a reserve game? He's managed him at two separate clubs I'm pretty sure he knows what he's all about.

He managed him at Rotherham for one season, and got rid of him at the end of it, he took over about a month into the 2009-2010 season, and Sharps signed for Shrewsbury June 2010.

I thought he might have played for him during his first spell at Tranmere as well??

Yes unless he's been told on twitter to go home to Goole. LOL

They were both there at the same time for a month, Moore became manager at Tranmere 9th June 2006, and Sharps left for Rotherham on 6th July. So either Moore already disliked him, and got rid of him without playing a game under him (or even seeing him in training, as they would probably all be on holiday at that time), or the deal was already in place for him to go before Moore joined.

Are we really reduced to other league two teams reserves rejects?

Sharps is the exactly the type of signing we need. He was a regular at Burton (one of the better teams in the division) until Rowett left for Birmingham he's featured in 23 games for them this season. Experienced, no nonsense I reckon him and Harrison would give us half a chance of one day even keeping a clean sheet.
