I think Cardiff was down to the team we had at the time. I'd go so far as to say no-one was really responsible for it... it was more a glorious stroke of luck that that group of players ended up at Hartlepool together, gelled in the way they did, and made such a fantastic team.

I've always hated anyone who uses and manipulates people in the way Hodcroft did. Always have despised that and always will do. I think that's where I differed from a lot of posters here, who didn't used to mind how he did it, as long as the football was good.

Hodcrofts proved what he knows about football over the last 5 years.. You're right about the success.. It was down to the team and Hodcroft keeping his nose out...

It would seem the only thing that stopped the deal going through earlier was Pools involvement in the FA Cup. The potential of a BIG third round tie with instant cash kept the deal on ice, it looks like Murray paid a heavy price for that.

No I'm not back as such. I'll pop in but I can't stand the sniping, bitching and spite.

Just for Yubep and Twat With Hamster, are you the last two fuckers in the world that don't know that Facebook is blocked in China? I mean fuck me, the western press bleat on about it every day. Zuckerberg was over here a few months ago kissing arse to get it unblocked.

The official site, and especially Mark Simpson have regularly been slagged on here. 'Propaganda' was a term regularly used. I was one of the few voices that ever said 'I'll believe it when I read it on the OS.'

So in conclusion take your smart-arsed, ill-informed faces for a shit.

Have a nice day.

You are being very bitchy and spiteful sniping at Tree With Hamster here, Cut him some slack he doesn't read anything apart from this message board and 'Just Eat.com' and never watches the news.

I'm going to let you into a secret here; he's never even heard of China. He thinks you live in a flowery tea cup.

It wasn't a case of not knowing China have banned Facebook. It was your responses to being told it had been officially announced. Id bump the thread back up but it was an embarrassment of the highest order so il not bother.

At least that thread helped to get shot of him so it probably ranks up there with the best of them to be honest.

And got to laugh at Pjs response as I may be wrong but he was one of those first to stick the boot in over his response on that thread

Spender brings it on himself Ripper. Surely you must see that. You just have to look at his posts over the past 24 hours. When everyone else is getting optimistic he has turned up having digs as usual. Tree is right with what he has said.

That's true. The difference as I have explained before is that the rest of us get grief for coming out with crap. You do, I do, Tree does, pj does. We take it however. A few people on here don't take it but are happy giving it out.

I dont recall ever getting grief off anyone.

I do recall many suddenly realising I was right all along.

Even though they have amazingly forgotten it again.

But I am working on it.

It was pretty forgettable but a few on here got cheap thrills out of it. Basically some people hadn't realised that facebook was suddenly a reliable source.
I never think of looking anywhere else for me information meself like.

Thank you IOR and Ken Hodcroft.

Have to agree and as Mr I says above we have a lot to be grateful for - not just Cardiff. As far as I know bills were paid on time as were players.

Thanks Ken and IOR - especially for the following.

*Jan Ove Pedersen
*Signing Strodder, Jones and Freestone to keep us up in 98.
*Backing managers to sign some superb players, Watson, Nelson, Westwood, Porter, Dimi, Monkhouse, Butler, Boland, Humphreys and many more.
*Cheap season tickets.

Hopefully it's not too late to turn this season around - onwards and upwards...

And what would your thoughts be if it turns out to be too late to turn the season round, and all because of IORs behaviour over the last couple of years?

Would you still applaud a carer that had looked after your aging grandmother very well for ten years, only to rob them of all dignity in the last year?

Because thats what IOR have done isnt it?

Anyway, even though part of the problem is still there, I am returning. So its all good.

No it isn't what IOR have done. Many owners leave clubs with unpaid bills, players and administration. Yes things are far from ideal but they've gone at the right time and it's best for all parties. Poor decisions by IOR over the past few years are costing us - as are poor management decisions but this is where we are.

They're gone, lets stay positive and do everything possible to stay in the football league....

Not sure about the right time bit but I agree with everything else.

When you consider a few weeks ago the chat on here was about a £14million debt, possible administration and potential extinction, for the club to be debt free 12 days before the transfer window opens with an experienced manager and new owners making statements that they will back the manager is beyond our wildest dreams.

By right time I meant before the tansfer window opens rather than during or even after it. Onwards and upwards....
