The season tickets are 200 quid... even if they increase then we will have to find a way... not easy I know for many... but over a year 200 quid (if you are working) is not a lot extra... it's actually 54 pence a day.

If anyone is on low incomes, there are schemes for low income stream people to gain access to maybe a cheaper ST if required

anyway what am I talking about??

Let's just celebrate the takeover of (hopefully) sports enthusiasts

What happens to the 14mil debt ? Is it wiped out ? Hopefully we don't have IOR chasing repayments

It's not 'debt' really it, it's money they put it themselves, they've sold the club and walked away it's gone.

So IOR were never really as bad as some suggested they would be at the end. No administration, no financial crisis they've done the decent thing and I think will be remembered on the whole as good owners for that.

Sold the family jewels before they left though, James and and that defender lad, jezz i`m shite with names lately!

I only hope a slow painful ailment gets the lovely man, nothing terminal, just a couple of years and bankruptcy, just like we were heading for

Will reserve judgement on new owners, but pleased as punch IOR and Hodcroft are no more. Never liked or trusted them even in the so called good times. Hopefully we can rescue this season and kick on next, whether its in lge 2 or Conference. I could stomach Conference if I thought we could come back up as champions and do a Doncaster.

There are a few poolies on this very forum that an awful lot of people need to thank for forcing this through. Hodcroft was in serious trouble, and a number of poolies deserve ALL the credit for forcing the issue.

They know who they are.

Good to hear the new owners want to meet and talk to the fans of the club, maybe a good chance to point out ALL the shortcomings of the previous owners including the failings of the youth system and the bent as fuck bias towards a certain school it represented.

Over the moon for you lot, what a day it's been! Hopefully onwards and upwards from here for Pools. Still plenty of the season to play for as well so hopefully with a few decent additions in January you'll be safe come May. Hopefully we (Sunderland) can send a couple of our young'uns down the road to help out, although Poyet has said in recent interviews that he's opting to keep some of them in the ressies as he wants every squad to be playing the same style of football throughout the club and feels the young lads would be better off staying here.

I'm not going to Aston Villa on the 28th (cos it's fourty two frigging quid on top of transport and spends), so I'm gonna get myself down the Vic with my Poolie mate. Survive this season and a good summer could mean things are looking rosy for next season.

I was checking the news last night and nothing, but to wake up to this news is great and can only be good for the Club and the town.

The fact that they are already talking about making sure the fans are kept involved has got to be starting off on the right foot.

Says the man who spends all of his social life sat bent over in Russ's office, saying :

Thank you, sir! May I have another?
