Why would the council sell it if we go down?

Im sure the new consortium will have considered the ground issue before bidding. they will know how reluctantant the council were to sell to ken and wont buy the club unless renting the ground from the council is acceptable to them.

Its a risk selling the ground to any owners and we know nothing about this new consortium so lets not all start getting ahead of ourselves.

Ultimately the ground issue is not a priority. Staying in the league is.

Id like to think the council would hold onto the ground for at least a few years while they suss these new guys out. Once they have then im sure it would be facilitated very easily (unlike if they were dealing with fucking Hodcroft)

there are people on this board who would have been happy IOR owning the ground up until a fortnight ago so I would say the chance of these people wanting the council to flog the ground to an unknown consortium is high.

only thing for me with the ground issue, is that at least with IOR trying to buy the ground we knew who they were and what they were up to (or so we thought) with an unknown consortium, it has echoes of Coventry with the SISU saga. I'd be more than happy for the Council to keep the ground now, but i'm sure the prospective owners will have assessed the financial limitations of the council...
