Didn't do too bad for most of the first half, a couple of near misses from Burton before they finally scored.

Second half started without us, they simply walked through for the second.

After that they were in complete control, and picked us off at will.

Walker was abysmal, I don't know why Marlon came off as he was putting himself abouta lot. Holden and Richards at least looked like they wanted to make something happen.

The best bit was the WW1 Christmas truce re-enactment before kick off. It made ke wonder how some of our spineless twats would fare inthe trenches.

I'm not sure why it would surprise you that marlon was hooked - Sam completely bombed him last time around.

For me today has shown what a poor decision it was to bin Murray and Willie without a replacement sorted. Yes we were struggling but I think Murray was doing the best with what he had; Marlon was much improved, Featherstone, Lanzoni Dolan and more importantly Fenwick were all improvements on what we had and I know that isn't saying much but bearing in mind there wasn't a lot to go for and ken's dallying cost him a couple of better ones for me he was doing about as well as he could.

All that's happened in a week is that Sam has disrupted the back 4 by binning Lanzoni and more worryingly not playing Fenwick who has spirit and fight. Let's see what the hierarchy say about this weeks wonderful 2nd half!

Fully agree with this, also strange that Holden brought straight back in. Not that this was the wrong thing but I know it was a big discussion point ahead of the cup game and Sam was the strongest voice of the back room staff pushing Jones as the man.

Anyway the squad is abysmal we all know THE big issue is the club, the information about IOR and the debts means we have to do something. I'm an exile but will support in any way I can

No not blaming Holden at all or that it was the wrong decision, more the point that Sam brought him straight back in after championing Jones strongly for the last couple of weeks behind the scenes. Seems strange.

Fully agree about the contreras halves and again I was surprised Lanzoni was binned rather than Bates or Austin

So just out of interest. What is the best starting 11 out of this current shower masquerading as professional footballers.

We all have opinions about certain players but in truth they all seem about as inept as each other at the moment.

There is no combination capable. League status is already forfeited, thanks to the gross mismanagement of the club over the past few years now culminating in the demise of HUFC

I was there yesterday and I thought Franks put in a shift, but it's clear he wants to be played down the centre, he needs to play every game because he actually looks like doing something in the final third. Harewood should not have been subbed and Fenwick didn't get near the ball (he gets caught offside a lot). The CB partnership was abysmal and every goal featured woeful defending -however Richards had a decent game -covering for Austin and Bates' inadequacies must be a tiresome task... Maybe play 5 along the back just so we've got more bodies in the box to defend; there's no easy solution, and in all likelihood there isn't one, but we've got to keep plugging away and hopefully, by some miracle, avoid the drop.

I've got a problem. I cannot distinguish between Bates And Parnaby....was it Bates who was utterly shit at Northampton too? I spent most of the game with my eyes behind my hands......

It's a tough one, almost like comparing Shit and Shite.

Does anyone know where his bar is? I would love to see his face when a couple hundred Pools fans walked in

Bar Vista on Stockton Riverside. Despite working in Stockton I rarely go out there after witnessing what I can only describe as a "Coke-Fest" in the bogs of one bar at 7.45 on a Saturday night. I was home at 8.15pm. Horrible town.

It would be terrible of any Pools players were doing that. I would hate to think that was happening

No, I wanted to start one but couldn't muster up the enthusiasm. Should have a big banner to take to Mansfield though.

I think someone needs to draw a line at this point.

After the game there were chants of "we want our money back" and "you're not fit to wear the shirt"

I couldn't even stomach staying until the end, we left after the fourth and called a taxi from the stadium to the station. "Is the match finished already?" the operator asked. Clearly not been to a pools match lately, it had finished an hour earlier for us.
