Forgot to tell you. At 1pm today, Sharon said that the Rochdale tickets had sold well and said about 700 had being sold.

thats a pretty impressive percentage of season ticket holders then? 25/20% ? I'd guess we'll take 3,000 then

More like 40%

I expected 1200 to go to season tickets and it looks like that figure is still on target.

I still reckon we'll sell the allocation but will make general sale on Friday

considering our average away following is only 400-500, it just backs up my point that "season ticket holder does not equal away fan" during the course of the season. I wonder where the "glory"season ticket holders who are going to Rochdale will be next season, at say Brighton on a Wednesday night.
I reckon it's about 200 max season ticket holders who travel to every away match normally.

Apologies for being a 'glory' season ticket holder, this will be our second away match this season, I'll let you guess the other one, but we got our five tickets yesterday. But we are going despite not really being able to afford it, because after 43 years of supporting Pools I want to be there when we finally, hopefully on Saturday, are confirmed as Champions for the first time.

How can you be a glory season ticket holder?

The season ticket holders buy their tickets before the season starts, it could of been a crap season but they have already invested in it.

As for matches on a wednesday night are you for real? Many people have work commitments to keep a roof over their heads so can't take hours off work.

Parmo - You're trying to make it sound like you're the best Pools fan in the world and that you are so hard done to..

How many home games do you come to? Did you not say 8 or 9 the other day? I bet you're at the Bristol Rovers game on Saturday though but will you make the effort to get to the vic for a tuesday night game against Cheltenham or Leyton Orient next season or will perhaps other constraints such as money, family or work prevent you from attending some games........

I really don't want to get involved here, but I just thought I'd throw something in.

Johnny -
Away games are away games for everyone unless you happen to live in the town of a fellow league two club. For example, I live in Nottingham. There are a few games around and about, but most of them are a good couple of hours away. Still closer than a home match, but not exactly local. So, to compare an exiles away attendance versus a local's home attendence doesn't quite stack up.

That's not to say I disagree with you, but I understand where parmo is coming from. One day for season ticket holders and then general sale would have been better and arguably fairer for away fans.

That said, I don't think there will be a problem of ticket availability, but rather actually securing a ticket in hand before pitching up at Rochdale.

You will never convince me that season ticket holders shouldn't be given priority for important games.....

You mean apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

There are many ways in which HUFC could of organised this week of ticket sales better than what they have. However the general priciple of season ticket holders first, fans with stubs second and then general sale is the best way of doing things.

If tickets are high in demand then you are always going to get one or two loyal fans who will miss out but by having a criteria in place it means that there should be less glory seekers at the match.....

I'm not sure who if anyone should ever get priority for matches. But I don't see why season ticket holders should suddenly be getting such a bad press.
Not all season ticket holders live in Hartlepool by any means. What's the definition of an 'away' match for them?

PS I do not intimate myself as any kind of great supporter - where do I say that ????? It's the people who live away from the area I'm sticking up for, such as our lass's cousin from Telford who attends 100% of away games but might not be able to get a ticket!!!!!

The club needs to bring in an away supporter system somehow. I know bigger clubs do this and we might need to in future.

I'm lucky I'm a season ticket holder who lives in West Yorkshire. I'm in an ideal position to go to a lot of away and home matches.

Stop picking on us season ticket holders. refred

I was sat outside of the Ticket Office listening to the 3 O'Clock news yesterday, while my good lady wife was in there chatting to our good friends Linda & Sharon, and purchasing our tickets.

Suprised nobody has had any thoughts on Mrs Precious' good fortune yesterday!!

Sharon won the weekly 'Pools on the Move' or whatever it is called now. £3,750 was given to her on Monday.
