Post subject: Danny Wilson in undervalued and not appreciated shock!
PostPosted: Wed Mar 28, 2007 12:01 am
By the Pools fans. Before anyone has an epi, read my words. Neale Cooper, Chris Turner, even Mike Newell were lauded by the home support. Danny has taken us to a club record 22 games unbeaten and in my opinion, is our best-ever boss. But I have yet to hear any chants of "Danny, Danny give us a wave" or "There's only one Danny Wilson". Isn't it time Danny was showered with praise by the fans? He has repaired Martin Scott's mess and made us even better than Cooper did. Ok, the proof will be in the pudding in League One next year but let's give Danny some love! clappp rolf clappp rolf clappp

Read my words again. I'm talking about the home fans and not the eio chants.

It's the middle of the night, how can you even me and especially Mad John to read your posts properly?

'Give us a wave' is quite common in the Town End....stop speaking in riddles and just explain what you actually mean ...

Every away game since the run started has seen 'give us a wave', Danny Wilson's blue n white army. etc And some before the run. Peterborough, Grimsby etc. I think he'll be OK.

DW Blue and White Army was almost non-stop second half at Peterborough and that was six months ago.

Is this a quote from somewhere?? That's how it reads anyway. Or an unhealthy dependence of hallucinatory drugs.

It's a tricky one. You'd sort of get chants of "ONE (mutter) WILLIAMS" for a little bit followed by a load of arguing - "I'm tellin ye man it's EFF-EEAN", "bollix is it, it's EFFEN", "na yer both wrong, it's AYVIAN"

(repeat to fade)

It's the latter (or something like that). I've asked my Welsh mate before!

AY-VEE-ENN.

I suspect that we're the only two pools fans who try and get it right. Even Wilson (when heard in interviews) goes for the lazy option!

Surely, it's reasonable to say it how it's pronounced.

I used to know Micah Richards and his cousins. They pronounced it M-I-cah and that's how he said it. Now people call him Mick-ah, e.g. Lininker saying flicker by micker.
