Aye, a brave if somewhat crazy guy. If you play with fire a lot then eventually it''s going to go wrong and you're going to get scorched.

I know it's not nice to laugh when someone dies but I didn't like the bloke!!!! :-X :-X :-X

No-one can tell me that it was good for any animal to get jumped on by Irwin and have a sack placed over your head whilst in a head lock for the sake of entertainment!!!!

:-X :-X :-X

I feel sorry for his kids but him and there lass....

Anyway....it's how he would have wanted it!!!!

What happened??!! First I've heard of it

I was considering going to his zoo at christmas too. The guy was pure entertainment, as someone who doesn't like animals I've always had a great fascination of crocs etc. Shame!

Just been reading his obituary.

When he was a kid his favourite programme was Thunderbirds.

But Stingray will always have a special place in his heart.

I'm surprised he survived this long..... Thinking about it, why did he have to pick up snakes, etc, etc. Surely filming them in their natural environment would have made a lot more sense from the creatures he supposedly loved view? ...... instead, did they not just become props in an attention seeking showbiz sort of way...? Everyone needs a new angle to succeed.
