 Post subject: Re.The Hospital Closure!!!!
PostPosted: Mon Feb 12, 2007 1:27 am
And especially aimed at people who don't think it's bad thing our Hospital getting moved/closed!!!!

The bairn has been bad allday and was getting worse as the night wore on.
Our lass got advice of her mother who's a nurse and she came round to see her.
She told her to phone the emergency Doctor who then told her to phone the Hospital. The hospital said they would see her at 10pm but then phoned at 9.25pm to say they were now 'closing' and she'd have to go to North Tees and an appointment would be made for 10.20pm!!!!
As neither of us drive we phoned a few people to see if they could give us a lift....her Uncle agreed to do so!!!!
If he didn't we'd have had to get a Taxi....there and back for god knows how much!!!!
What a carry-on....and it'll only get worse!!!! banghead
All of that because the opening times at Caroline Street clinic have been shortened!!!! banghead banghead

PS....the bairn is ok'ish....a bad chest infection!!!! confised

Couldn't the emergency doctor come out and see her though Mutters?

I was bad a couple of years ago when I was near Bournemouth at a friends house so the mrs phoned NHS helpline who then said a doctor would call us back within half an hour, which he did. He then asked me my symptoms etc and also if I wanted him to come out, i said yes and he was there in less than 20 minutes. He said i had kidney stones gave me some painkillers and advised me to go to the hospital the next morning which I did and was admited in over night

Why when there is one 3 mile away? Oh and if they get their way we will have to pay mileage as well no doubt rage

I'm just waiting for someone at Stockton complaining that North Tees hospital is full of people from Hartlepool and you have to wait much longer for appointments.....it'll happen
