I thought he was awesome yesterday. For a lad in his first full season, he has taken to League Two like a duck to water. He is so versatile, I reckon he can play in ever single position on the pitch, except keeper. The lad has so much time on the ball it is like he is on a different level to every other player out there. His first touch is immaculate, he can use both feet, he likes a tackle, loves a pass and his energy is boundless. I really think Boro made a mistake letting him go, you can't tell me Lee Cattermole is a better midfield player? He is a joy to watch at times and against Walsall, he was up against a very good team and looked head and shoulders above them. Saw the Sunday Sun marks for our players, five of them got sixes! FFS!!!
My marks would have been:
Dimi - 6
Barron - 7
Nelson - 9
Clark - 8
Humphreys - 7
Brown - 9
Liddle - 10
Sweeney - 8
Monkhouse - 8
Barker - 7
Williams - 7

PS. I am not obsessed, I just love Liddle, and Ritchie!

The guy is awesome, I reckon most people will probably pick Nelson to be POTY but Liddle will be getting my vote. He is unbelievably good......

I'd agree on Liddle, I thought he was awsome yesterday.

The lad first played centre back and did well, he then impressed at left back, he then played as an attacking midfield player and scored goals before having to revert to center back again and we kept clean sheets, since Boland has been injured he has played as the more holding midfield player and to say we haven't really missed Willie isn't a slight on a very good player, it just highlights how good a signing Liddle has been. Just about out best signing ever for me, a 20 year old as good as him for virtually nothing.

Brown was amazing in the first half, I mean Dickie Dosh actually subbed the left winger (Bedeau) at half time and brought on a more defensive minded played to double up on young James. Thats how good he was. As exciting a talent as we've had at Pools since i've been watching. That change of tactics could have had a massive bearing on the final result all because of the quality of James Brown.

Dimi I think at times seriously gets bored with having nothing to do, he gets out of his deck chair and stubs out his cigar and goes on a bit of a wander!! Thankfully we didn't get punished!!

Almost shamefacedly, Pooliekev quietly informs the Master Of The Rolls that Michael Nelson is 27 on the 23rd March......... :uhoh:

Still it's hardly like he needs a zimmer is it??

And if he does, he knows where to come, right Mr I??
