The cost of a police helicopter is approx £500 per hour.so if it over there for the duration your looking at about 100 hours(rough guess) so £50,000

I've got a mate who works for British Rail and they are using the helicopter all weekend for various things. Does the one you've seen have a flashing blue light on top?
