Just a few thoughts (more elsewhere, see the sig...)

4-5-1 could actually work really well for us - when we work out who the 1 is. Bjornsson just wasn't mobile enough for me - it was no surprise when Boyd came on at the break, and we looked better for it. Monky and Brown breaking forward wide, Sweeney doing well breaking through the middle - and we crowded them out in the middle when they had the ball. We created enough to have won.

Dale didn't look to have anyone capable of beating a man, this may have been due to a confident defence - what a difference to have two genuine full-backs! Sadly we may lose Austin for a bit, was a terrible challenge on him and they had Haslam ready to come on before he was even taken from the pitch. Fingers crossed it's not as bad as it looked.

Now we need to see how we get on against the more fancied sides in the division - and how Dale get on too. But we both looked to play football, and it was rarely dull - hopefully more of the same to follow!

Agree he was good - a lot of their play came through him - thank goodness they took him off

He's a bit of an oddity this 'un.
Take it back a couple of years, and he seriously didn't look out of place playing for TFC in Ligue 1.

He obviously fancied coming to play over in Blighty, but took some bad advice by signing for Grimsby. sctatchinghead

Would have been a very useful signing for us, as he has pace and a good eye for goal.
