To try and get Steve Howard back Huddesfield are in the running for him, we could do a lot worse.

With all this alleged new found wealth...........Howard, Mickey Brown and a commanding central defender would see us challenging up there.

So by "as daft" I assume you mean "not at all daft" sctatchinghead

Barker was a good signing; the right man at the right time.

Concurring, his signing helped seal promotion then he scored 16 goals in our first year back in League One. A good piece of business from Pools, the only thing I question in hindsight is getting rid of Daly who had the potential to become a better version of Barker.

Hindsight is easy though I didn’t see Daly going on to do as well as he has at Dundee United.

Hindsight would have been keeping Howard in the first place

Would love to see him come back - he still has a real desire in him and would definitely be a threat in our league.

It all depends on whether Steve Howard is friends with Chris Turner. If the answer is 'yes' then im sure turner will do his best in talking IOR to release the funds.

ps, after the way the boo boys got on Howards back while he was here I somehow doubt he would relish a return.
