The bloke is clearly is a good manager, he's proven at the highest level.

He has a better idea of what he's dealing with now and I have no problem with him staying as manager, he's not really the problem.

The problem is bad eggs like Terry, get rid of toss rags like him and we might have a football team.

Good, the players at fault not Capello.

Hopefully after the world cup performances the media and FA will now let him pick players that are working hard not the likes of Wayne Rooney, after his performances in the first 3 games he should not have been on the pitch at the start of the Germany game.

But had we lost that game without him I wouldn't bet against the FA sacking capello after a red top lead hate campaign against him.

I think it's right Capello should stay on although I think the FA are thinking more about the compensation they would have to pay him if they sacked him.

He can learn from his mistakes in the World Cup and hopefully get it right by the time the European Championships take place in two years.

I'm glad he's staying. He will, I hope get rid of those who have failed to perform over the past three competitions. Portugal, Germany and S Africa. I excuse Rooney from this as there was clearly something wrong in S Africa and he was injured in the other two comps.

something clearly went on and I just hope that who ever was to blame gets binned but it really concerns me that when we were 4-1 down against the hun, Capello's tactical genius decided to bring on..............................Heskey to get us back in the game confised

I think the main reason why he is still in a job today is that there is no English manager that is good enough to take over , and in two years time Pearce and Beckham will be ready to take over. I would not be suprised if Beckham stays in a coaching roll in some sort . Yeah the 12 million was a big obsticle as well . Lets hope he gets rid of most of the older players and brings in a lot of the younger players and starts to rebuild from new.

In 100 years Pearce & Beckham won't be good enough

It's the right decision to keep Capello on as England manager.

This so called "golden generation" (I don't like the description) as they were called in 2000 have had 5 tournaments, since they were given that description. Not only have they had 5 tournaments, they've had 4 managers.... Keegan...Eriksson...McLaren and Capello...........

The one constant over those 10 years/5 tournaments/4 managers are the players.

Just maybe it's their fault. In fact there's no maybe about......It's their fault.

Look at the players who were given that description.....Gerrard ,Owen, Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Terry, Ashley Cole, Parker, Brown, Carrick, the Neville brothers,Barry, Carragher, Beckham,Heskey Scholes

Now a lot of them are no longer in the England picture but they have been over the so called golden era, and achieved nothing. and 8 of them (been 10 if Beckham/Ferdinand were fit) were in this years World Cup squad. Scholes would have been as well if he had accepted Capello's invite(making 11) to return to international football, meaning almost half of the squad could have been playing international football together for 10 years.

So let's not blame Capello this time around, 99% of the country believed him to be the right man for the job when we were walking our qualifying group with 9 wins out of 10.

It's time for the so called "stars" to come out and apologise for their performances. Stop believing the hype that they're world class players because obviously over the last 10 years they haven't been.

We were well beat by the Germans who are in the process of building a new team, while we have stood still believing that our "stars" will come good.

It's time for new blood, without tempting fate we have a easy group to the European Championship finals so it's time to put in some of the young players.

Hart given the number 1 shirt,, Bye bye Ferdinand to injury prone, play players in position.

so everybody agreed with his substitutions? he only ever brought joe cole on because terry and co. had to request it from him, and bringing wright phillips on on the left hand side? it didnt make sense.

the players are indeed to blame but so is capello, he picked the wrong team, didnt motivate the players and when things went wrong he didnt know how to change it.

he is probably the best manager in the world but if he cant do it for us then whats the point.

Course they didn't even if we were still in the competition some would still be finding fault

Is that the same team/squad who he motivated to win 9 out of 10 in the qualifying group

If that the case then we don't need to replace him, as I'm sure if he believes he made mistakes he will put it right in the future, and he may well do it for another side who end up knocking us out of a competition.

The only time I don't recall people saying we should get rid of the old guard was in 1966. Unfortunately when the next WC came around those players were already past their sell-by date. This time round maybe you can replace unfortunately by fortunately.
