Allegedly Kettering approached by Peterborough to speak to him about their vacant manager's position.

I mentioned him 10 months banghead banghead ago for our manager.

Just because Peterborough have approached him this doesn't make him an excellent manager all of a sudden.

He probably is but it's not easy to say.

He left Tamworth after leaving them bottom of the league and has then had 2 decent seasons in the Conference North and the Conference and now they're doing well this season.

It's hardly the most glowing of references and I didn't think much of the way his team played on Saturday.

I think going to a team bottom of the Championship playing against some of the sides that occupy the league would be a massive step up for him and wouldn't do his career to many favours.

I doubt he would want to come here after the way we fucked him off cos we would have owed a bit of money if he scored another goal

According to Sky Sports News they have also approached Brentford to speak to their manager

doesnt anyone else think posh were a bit hasty in getting rid of the manager who got them promoted 2 seasons running ?

they refused to give him any money to strengthen his squad in the summer and expected him to get results in the championship immediately with players who were playing in division 4 just 18 months ago ?

Not really. They spent far more than the likes of Doncaster who have more than held their own in that division. Seems to me like there was more at play than we know about though.

Personally, I think that most managers would do a reasonable job if they had a fair bit of money to play with and some very influential people as friends and family.

He's done well but would you really be up for watching the 'football' that his teams play? Plus both his teams that I've seen and have beaten us :uhoh: have included a 20 clem centre back, is this part of his philosophy on the game?

Maybe as he moves up with better players his style will change?

We have to bring Mark Cooper to Pools. The surname alone means he should be a success.

Taking Mark Cooper on as manager of Posh is a big big gamble IMHO.
That chairman must have put a lot of store on Kettering's result against us.

There must be better available than him, although with relegation staring them in the face, many might fight shy of taking the job.
