One of them is bound to be Michael Rose. Stockports takeover has finally gone through and they have re-appointed Jim Gannon as manager.

Hardly an exciting signing though?

It's a left back!! The first proper one in 6 year!

I would describe the signing of Rose as "satisfying" rather than "exciting". But let's not split hairs. Signing a player with a good reputation to play in our weakest position has to be very good news.

If it is Rose of course. We could be signing Natalie Portman.

which will please chip

Especially if she's dressed as Padme Amidala, without the weird makeup.

We need a man-mountain at centre half to play alongside Liddell, a left back, A midfield ball winner (hardman) and someone who can guarentee us 20 league goals

a half competent manager who can get the players we've got playing well regularly, and with more backbone, would be the first thing on my list

As always, Parmo speaks sense.

I think we've got more chance of Natalie Portman, though confised

I would have agreed but if Miss Portman is in the running I am afraid things such as winning matches pale into insignifigance.

The club seem to be talking up this new season an awful lot - Turner mentioning top 8; Liddle commenting on the last game of the season being a tough one at Charlton but mentioning we'll be looking to have a season like Swindon did last time.

These signings are going to have to be pretty special if the play-offs is the aim...

Michael Rose will do for me, I reckon Messrs Groovy and Muttley will like him too. Who'd have thought it, a good solid left back and half time entertainment too! My appetite is whetted...

Rose signs for Swindon.

Wilson will have him at right back in no time.

You have four days remaining for you claim to be correct, has anyone heard anything then? Has anyone been to Throston bookies?

I was last at Throston bookies about a month after the Grand National to pick up my winnings.

Nobody looked like a left back or a star striker.
