For weeks I’ve been planning to get my season ticket on Wednesday at 3pm. I’ve even arranged to leave work early to go down to the club shop.

Do they not want my money? No wonder we have the lowest average attendance in League One when they randomly close on Wednesday afternoons in the last week of the ‘early bird’ offer.

Disgraceful Turner, sort it out. This is worse than the time they put that painting up of Alan Shearer, and even worse than the 7pm kick off in the Paint Pot Cup to be honest I feel like writing to the Mail.

I can understand your frustration, and I'm not attempting to make excuses for Pools here, but....the whole of the club appears to be closing down early on Wednesday, the general offices, ticket office and club shop. There may be some underlying reason for that fact.

They're open from 9am until 2pm, now you state you were going down at 3pm and had arranged to leave work off, not knowing your occupation and how much notice you have to give to get time off could you not go an hour earlier, ask mate or go on one of the late opening dates.

I'm not saying you should , don't think that, and as I say I'm not defending Pools, it just seems unusual that ALL the club is closing and they giving such short notice.

Maybe there's a logical reason to it.

I can only think of possibly 2 occasions that the club may have closed on such short notice and they were in November 2004, for the funerals of Frankie Baggs and Harold Hornsey.

Maybe a phone call to the club asking why the club is closed at such short notice may get you a reason they have decided on that decision.

Are you daft? The logical reason is that England kick off at 3pm on Wednesday.
