....have stopped their youth's wearing coloured boots until they reach First Team level, other than black or white of course.

....and I thought wearing brightly coloured boots frightened the oppo' into thinking you were skillful.

Our B.B.wearers last season were:- Mackay, Foley, Jones, Rowell anyone else?

Maybe they are teaching the youngsters not to get above their station by preventing them from thinking that are brilliant, just because they are playing at a Football League Club, that they don't literally get too big for their boots, if you'll forgive the pun!

Am I the only person who cannot understand why and this whole thing is a bit daft. You can have on any coloured pants you want, gloves and a gum-shield (if your that way inclined) so whats the big deal?

maybe there just trying to keep the young kids a bit grounded, not let them get carried away with themselves thinking they've already 'made it'.

Or maybe there focusing so much on boots and how good they look that they've lost sight of the main aim of being a yts - to earn a pro deal.

Just speculating of course

They should be made to wear ill-fitting all-black boots which cause bunions and calluses. Pussies!

Do so-called 'apprentices' still get made to scrub the shitteries these days?
They bloody well should! rage
