Does anyone know if Pools were ever in the bottom 4 overnight during any part of the season?

we were 21st after Norwich beat us 2-0 at home.

We also were when Trannies beat norwich the friday before we played Leyton Orient

I think we were in the bottom four the night before the Orient away game but I'm not sure.

And more useless facts

Our biggest climb was 10 places in September after beating Oldham away

Biggest fall was 7 places in August but that was after only 2 games, 2nd biggest fall was 5 places and we dropped 4 places twice, including the last day of the season.

We were in top 10 twice (9th and 10th) each time falling out next game.

9th was our highest position all season.(November) after Boyd scored against Orient at the Vic.

21st was lowest position all season.

We failed to score in 14 league games, (3 of those we got a point)

We scored in 12 successive league games between October and January winning 5 times in that sequence.

Most successive number of league games we failed to score in was 2(twice)

Most successive clean sheets kept was 3

That's right. That was the night Tranmere beat Norwich at home against all the odds.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw on Sky Sports News that Tranmere were winning.

Morale was low at home that night.

I wasn't really looking forward to going to Orient after that result.

But, I'm now glad I did go.... :grin:
