Lost to Prescott?

He lost alright, he got sparked out in 54 seconds rolfl

He's not only over-rated but he's wide-open, got no guard, a glass jaw and has his opponents hand-picked for his comfort. Like tonight.

He's avoiding Kevin Mitchell like the plague.

Who made Prescott look silly tonight.

was a very good night at the arena capping off a very satisfying win at pools.
the prescott v mitchell fight was good entertainment and khan surprised everyone by the destruction.

in part I agree, Sky put a lot of money into him with the PPV thing and obviously didn't want too many prescott repeats, but he can only beat whats put in front of him - and he's done that pretty well it would appear!

wasn't salita the no.1 contender anyways??!

anyhoo, I like khan and I'm glad he won well. Glad I didn't pay for it mind!
75 seconds?! arf

Amir Khan: If I was white I'd be a superstar
By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 2:51 AM on 06th December 2009
Comments (33) Add to My Stories British boxer Amir Khan believes he may be the victim of racial tension in Britain and has claimed he would be a 'superstar' if he was white.
The WBA light-welterweight champion, who defended his title tonight against Dmitriy Salita in Newcastle in just 76 seconds, was booed by a small, but vocal, minority at the Prizefighter tournament at the ExCel Arena last week.
The 22-year-old has put such behaviour down to bigotry. He said: 'It's probably jealousy and sometimes skin colour does make a difference.

Race card has been played what a shame he had to do that before such a great win. sadx

i'd dig out the thread but i cant be arsed.

bottom line the lad has won an olympic silver and a world title and he is only 22. thats something very, very few people have achieved.

he speaks very eloquently, is aware of his responsibilities as a role model, has given away free tickets to the armed forces, and has donated over a million quid to charities in his home town of bolton.

despite this he gets some horrific abuse on message boards up and down the land from folk who cant stand the idea of a british muslim world champion, and theres still a small minority turn up to boo him at his fights.

he is working with some of the best in the business, trained by roach, sparring with pacquiao, so i very much doubt he will let a bit of stick off the into the blue boys unduly worry him .

im proud to be british. its a very small minority who say ( these things ) but it does hurt you. "

the lads in a no win situation. there are those on the far right who slate asian britons for not being patriotic, yet when the lad states he is proud to be british, wears the union jack, donates huge chunks of his money to british charities and supported british troops he gets slagged off even more.

for a 22 year old i think he has handled things admirably.

How can you say that (although the above FACTS are correct), when chip says otherwise

Hang on a minute, the only person on this thread who is rambling on about race, religion etc is you. I'm judging him on what i think his boxing ability (or lack of) is.

If you read my post very carefully, you'll see that.

Prince Naseem and Muhammad Ali are Muslims aren't they? They are two of my favourite boxers ever, so really i can't see what you are on about.

Where did 3Pound play the race card?

I don't know as much as chip on any other subject, but I don't think Khan has come up against any really good opposition, does that make me a cross burner?

This Weekend Amir Khan got his arse kicked.

You posted that on this thread and yet again hoping it would become a muslims thing you are the only person bring race and religion to the fore it surprises me how you get away with it as other people have been barred.
If people read the above thread you put on it states my views why i do not like amir and non of it is the way you try and make it out.

Khan is a decent fighter but he's not the reincarnation of Muhammed Ali that he is made out to be. I think he will be found out against world class opposition and a Ricky Hatton at his peak would have destroyed him.

I don't think Hatton will ever get himself into the sort of shape he used to be. Fitness wise maybe but the old non stop dynamo has slowed down making him much easier to hit. He's another pug who is in danger of taking one too many fights. Great in his day but his day is not now.
