How come some toilets 'skid' easier than others?

Whenever I lay a cable at home, it invariably leaves a residue after flushing. Yet it just seems to glide off the one at work.

Better quality ceramic? The angle of the pan? Answers on a postcard please.

maybe a rougher surface caused by hardness salts deposited on the surface.... shot some descaler over the pot and Mr Hanky will get a nice clean getaway

A regular intake of Strongarm will relieve you of this predicament when in the act of snapping one off.

My new nettie resembles the deck of an aircraft carrier after a night on the ale, i hate these modern type bogs. How are they supposed to conserve water when it takes three flushes to take out away?

for posters in the continent whats that little ledge about in European bogs. I have been to France, Netherlands, Germany and Austria and instead of a hole they have a ledge to inspect your crap before flushing it away sctatchinghead

John, is it right to always clean a skid when you have caused it or do you leave it for the wife/someone else to clean up sctatchinghead I personally always make sure any hint of skid is gone but there are some right disgusting fookers in my office that leave them for me to fooking clean banghead

it is true Mutters, cos they eat a fair bit of raw meat, eggs and fish in Holland and Germany especially, and there's always a chance they can get worms.
So there's a shelf in the pot for them to inspect their stools!!! I've seen them!!!
