Never had a sat nav for the car . Are these phones up for doubling up and doing the same job sctatchinghead

supposed to have a gps antenna built in,i've never really tried it on mine have a butchers at the nokia forums there might be more info on there

sussex the 5230 is a cut down version of the nokia 5800 it's also a cheap smartphone running symbian 60 meaning you can get loads of free apps on the ovi site,it's memory is small but you can upgrade it up to 16gb,if you are thinking of getting one have a look on the carphone warehouse website(i buy most phones from there as they are usually unlocked)

i think i have that 5800 xpress music phone, i really dont use it to its full capabilities.

What apps can i download fro mthat ovi site?

go on the ovi store site and put your model number in then it will come up with all the apps available for your phone some you have to buy but there is quite a few that are free including maps(sat nav)
