i only want the best for pools and staying up is fantastic.but it has been one of the worst seasons i can remember at pools.the side turner has should have been no where near the relegation places.he is not the man for the job.

staying up IS something to celebrate - we deserve it and are better than our 20th suggests

as bad as today has been, this is our 7th best season ever in terms of league placing in 82 years (or something like that)

5 more points (excluding the deduction) would have seen our 4th best ever placing, a bit of perspective is in order - the past 10 years have raised expectations too high too soon.

having said that, I think we need to move on. can't see what else Turner has to offer. I appreciate what he did 10 years ago, but it's not going to happen again at this level. Thanks for trying but can we have a new (and proven) face please IOR? That Phil Brown might not be popular but he might do the trick?

while I'm putting the world to rights, can I suggest a penalty shootout to decide No10? Brown, Clegg and Cameron 5 shots against each other then sudden death? save all this palaver?

back to the booze... cheers lads, see you next season

Turner has attempted to manage at this level for one and a half seasons at Sheff Wed, one season at Stockport, and almost 2 seasons at Pools (as well as overseeing with Stepho at the back end of 05/06)
He has not got anywhere near to being even remotely competent in League One as a boss
That is a good shot at it, around 5 seasons, and all he brings is relegation battles

It can't just be the team, even one good season out of 5 has been beyond his capabilities

A very poor season full of very poor performances throughout the club, on and off the field. Staying up is good but its a a very shallow cause for celebration.

In 5 yrs time he'll be pointing to his C.V. and stating that he "kept us up" two season's running.
