no way Mr Giro - May 4th will determine whether we are safe or not. If Pools only lose 1 point, then they will be safe. Lose 2 or 3 and we are right back in the shite.
Only saving grace is that, incredibly, Huddersfield can now get 2nd place after an extraordinary sequence of results fro them today with Millwall and Leeds getting beat. If Swindon and Millwall draw with each other next week, and Leeds and Charlton lose, then Hudds could yet nick 2nd place if they beat Exeter, although they will also have to score a few goals to do that (goal swing of 5 needed)

I really, really hope you're right.
If the FL have any culpability in this, then they can't do it
If they take only one point off there's be hell on from Tranmere, Exeter, Gillingham and Orient
It will either be nothing or the full 3 points, I can't see any in between
It is either the fault of Pools or the fault of the Football League, no middle ground

Well if that little birdie is on the FL panel this week we'll be fine but they have big horrible b*****d's on there that like to kick the smaller clubs so I'm not building my hopes up.

Remember what happened to Chesterfield eight years ago?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chesterfield/1311131.stm

I was livid the night they only got nine points deducted when we were in fourth place.

If Chesterfield is anything to go by, maybe the FA aren't that stringent when it comes to these things. (I know they cooked the books and I hope they don't start to be stringent now with us)

Even Turner said at the time
"Everybody did expect a bigger penalty in terms of points." rage banghead

If somehow the FL do not deduct us points, then I may never complain about the Chesterfield affair ever again because I would know that it would seal our safety.
