I think this election is going to be a real watershed. A 'yougov' poll this morning put the Liberals in first place. There really is a general feeling in the country that more of the same is not acceptable.

I think Nick Clegg is going to be either PM or leader of the opposition.

Well, the thing is Clegg maybe leading in the polls, but due to the nature of the first-past-the-post system, Labour would still be in power even though it only might finish in third place.

So Clegg has got to win by a big margin to stand any chance of getting into Number 10.

The only party delivering on its promises is the Green Party. They published their manifesto last week and already there are no planes flying in the UK. Thats the sort of delivery we want from out politicians.

What worries me with these polls is that all it took for this huge swing to the Lib Dems was their leader to appear on TV for 90 minutes.

All he did was effectively say "We are not like them". You are - you are a politician. You made a note of all the names of the people who asked questions, and made sure you mentioned all of their names at the end - that's what a professional politician would do.

We are a nation under the control of TV, and it's a sad indictment of the Conservatives & Labour that it took Nick Clegg little effort to swing things his way.

Its strange when art mirrors reality. Clegg will get votes from both parties but I'm sue it will be Cameron who will be more afraid than Brown..

I'm voting Icelandic Volcano Party.

They've done more to stop immigration in 5 days than Labour have in 10 years.

Given that there were 63 LD MPs last time around I guess the answer must be yes.

That does raise the question of what is the collective noun for MPs. How about

a trough of MPs
