We've all been saying how anything other than three points tonight would be unacceptable and so credit to the team for a good win. Stockport were by far the poorest opposing team I've seen this season but even so it was nice to see us dominant for all but a 15 minute patch at the end of the second half when they controlled the ball more and had they had anything resembling a striker on the pitch would have pulled a goal back. I'm happy with a 3-0 win and 3 more points

Although I totally agree with the general sentiments its always slightly unnerving to hear the best part of 3,000 people calling for someone to be sacked. I can't see Turner having much longer left now. It's going to be like that at every home game until he goes. The crowd chanting "OFF, OFF, OFF" when the ref went over to speak to him during the second half said it all.

But anyway. Three more points and a nice comfy win to boot.

COME ON POOLS.

We outclassed a very poor Stockport side, tbh I dont know how they've got a point all season.

Saying that it should have been 5 or 6 and if it wasn't for Flinders making at least 2 top class saves it could have been a different story. Mcsweeney impressed me tonight, Gamble disappointed again.

Oh, and Turner Out!

This season has been a strange one in that some clubs who did really well last year have struggled no end in this one. Stockport themselves didn't do to badly until the shit hit the fan. I think they would have finished on 60 odd points last term but for the deduction.

Similarly Southend and Tranmere both finished a point or two outside the playoffs last season and appeared two of the better teams in the division. Both look set to be relegated now. I suppose having gone into admin you might have expected it with Southend but Tranmere's struggles have been a surprise. You could argue its another illustration of how Turner's, "you can write down the top 8 at the start of the season" comments are utter nonsense.

I seem to recall that Tranmere slashed their playing budget last summer and let some of their better players go as they couldn't afford the wages, which was one of the reasons that Ronnie Moore buggered off too.
