Yesterday has been described by a few on here as the worst ever.

Thats about the 10th time we have put in a 'worst ever' performance this season.

What is the worst ever Pools performance though? I reckon Bristol away last season, I still feel physically sick thinking about it.

1989/90 season, a fair few crap performances 0-6 at home to Doncaster, 0-6, 1-6, 1-7, away to Stockport, Aldershot and York. I think people forget how bad we were then. However, if we keep Tubby in charge we might remember fairly soon.

Leaving the Bristol Rovers match last season is up there with the most pissed off I've ever been. An absolute gutless performance considering what was at stake. I would have to seriously reconsider ever going again if I saw a repeat of this performance. I'm just glad I managed to miss the MK Dons, Yeovil and Wycombe games this season.

Sick as feckless btw. The players seriously need to work wonders against Stockport. Anything less than a win will not do. Season (3) from hell. Roll on June!

I rememeber a game under Cooper where we lost 4-0 at Blackpool. That was dreadful too

MK Dons at home this season is as poor as I've seen in a long time. A real case of men against boys.

The 4-1 loss at Bristol was diabolical like. Especially, as Jish has pointed out, considering what was at stake.

the fa cup replay against rochdale was fooooking dire (last time we got promoted i think) and we had to have extra time too which was just as bad after about 80 mins i really didnt care who scored as logn as it finsihed in 90 but it didnt sadx no fooker would have scored in that game if we were still playing it now. the one highlight was there was them balloon things sky handed out, simple things and simple minds :coool:

I've just thought of another relatively recent contender. The 4-1 loss at home to Crewe last season just after Christmas.

That Bristol Rovers game is narking me more and more the more i think about it taz

All we had to do was park 11 men behind the ball.

Hundreds of Pools fans made the (very long) journey.

even 50% effort would have guaranteed that we were in charge of our own destiny.

It was Nelsons last game for us and if he'd have approached the fans at the end, i'd have swung for the fecker.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

To be fair Crewe were very good that day, not that we played well.

It definitely wasn't the worst ever, I doubt it can have been worst than the 5-0 at home to MK Dons.

Just completely limp, disinterested, no motivation and no ideas.

The scoreline was bad but we didn't play that badly, at 1-0 down we had a spell were we were all over them and it looked like a matter of time before we scored.

No way was it a 4-0.

My nomination is 4-0 defeat at Boothferry Park the season Beardsley was here, it was a relegation 6 pointer and we were 4-0 down after about 20 minutes and it could have been 7, Stuart Irvine was playing up front and before the match Paul Baker was crossing balls over for him to finish into a an empty net, I reckon he missed 7 out of 10. We couldn't even warm up well. Also the 5-0 MK Dons game this season, we were utterly pathetic.

For me, the significance of the defeat at Bristol Rovers is the main thing. Not one player other than Nardiello could have possibly give a shyt that day. It was the mirror opposite to professionalism.

I was there at the Plymouth game. It was funny more than anything else. We were already relegated.

The MK Dons match (and most of the others this season) were never in positions of an urgent result needed (although retrospectively, we could have done with the points). At the time, they were just league games.

I remember us being mullied 4-0 at Feethams. Another miserable performance.

There was a game against Rochdale at Spotland where we were being soundly thrashed. This is the only time i've left a match at half time. I would have stayed personally, but the driver wanted to go home.

Can't argue with the Hull one. I wasn't there. I remember listening to updates on the radio though.

Years ago in the Autoglass/ Sherpa Van / Mickey Mouse (though we still can't win it) Trophy we had a game at York ( and at that stage we should have beaten them easily) all we had to do was just to score a goal to progress.
Half the players were put on the transfer list that very day (Gibson Era) so the mood was low and guess what not a single pop at goal did we have.
Dreadful and again out of the running.
