been at work all day and I've been buzzing since the result came through.... totally unexpected but the single most important victory of the season, bar none. Defeat today would have been curtains

It's looking a bit grimmer for Gillingham and Southend after today

3 points on Monday coupled with those two drawing against each other would make things look a hell of a lot better

But let's not kid ourselves about the position Pools were in before kick off

It's about time they stood up and were counted - the players are good enough IMO and they finally showed some balls today

And Turner got the team selection right for this match for once - watch this space for whether he changes it again on Monday

Brilliant response Mr Mutley. clappp clappp

I am assuming from this thread we are mathmatically safe and the Management are all forgiven for rescuing our season from this holier than thou thread.

I'm not sure that anyone on here ( Loan Star excepted ) hates Pools like the originator is suggesting, however some of us probably hate the situation we are in and use the Bunker to air our frustrations amongst fellow Poolies and enter into well reasoned debate and exchange of views without resorting to insults and personal abuse with the sort of badger bating some resort to. Ths way we can go to the game in a more reasonable frame of mind and get behind the team without shouting abuse from the sidelines. Or am I just being, I think this is the quote, "a retard or blind or stupid".

Yep you got that spot on.
I was in the pub with a few Poolies at Orient & everyone questioned the sanity of Bjornsson on & Boyd on the bench but 3 goals later we couldnt care less if it was Noddy & Big Ears up front with Flipper the bush kangaroo in goal.
Now what matters is that we dont go throw it all away with a home defeat

Skippy the bush kangaroo would be better in goal.

Yeah, Flipper was a dolphin. The kangaroo would be a better shot stopper IMO.

Sorry Klinger, but Flipper was a much better keeper than Skippy.

Paulus,Flipper the Dolphin was just an actor,Flipper the bush kangaroo was a footballer, granted not a very well known one,but a footballer all the same.

Mad John may have a few stats on his career

HTH

I do beleive earlier in the week when I predicted on another thread that we would win this one, YOU were one of many who had already written the Orient game off as a defeat for us sctatchinghead :!: I think today will actually be tougher than Saturday, due to better / inform opposition, id take a draw from this afternoon, that'll do nicely rolf

I hope we sign Billy Thompson in the summer , legendary Fulchester United custodian who is half man half fish, although some would argue that it's more a 70/30 split. He'd be just as good as Brian Horne who was half man half pork pie.

Skippy is more your out and out winger, good in the air though, and when i've seen Flipper play he looks like a fish out of water to me.
