As someone said recently, about something completely different, I would rather gouge my eyeballs out with a spoon.

Like many classic films, I don't see the point of a remake of Alfie, it can't possibly be anywhere near as good as the original.

fair comment but having not seen the original versions of Alfie or The Italian Job, I would be none the wiser. That said, you have now managed to put me off both anyhow

It 'stars' Jude Law. HTH.

I don't know how old you are Chessington, but you must watch the originals before even thinking about seeing the remakes. If anyone ever suggested a remake of Zulu I would hunt them down and kill them. You might be noticing a connection running through this thread. :uhoh:

I wasn't born when either of the originals were made but not that far off.............

Call me a philistine but I have never really enjoyed watching classic 60s and 70's films with the exception of epics, war pictures (like Zulu which I think is class) and the odd cowboy. That said, I will now try to make the effort to watch both. BTW, ended up watching match of the day last night in the end

Probably the only occassion where if I came faced to face with those two and I had a gun with only one bullet, Halliwell wouldn't get it.
