24 is now the latest television show to call time, after it announced at the weekend that its eighth series will be its last.

What a shame. sadx

i'm not just being arsey cos its you right, but i could not disagree more.

When shows go on and on and on and on the writing becomes poor, storylines get dragged out and characters get boring.

A short sharp series is often the best, go out on a high whilst people still like it.

Look at shameless, 98 series in its now fooking gash.

Actually I reckon this series of Shameless is alot better than the last couple. Each to their own I suppose!

If Mr Turner's not careful, it'll be his feet that we see walking away from 'Pools a la The Bill.

Fawlty Towers is the classic example of quitting at the very top. Two series, a total of 12 episodes, and it is still considered as a brilliant piece of television, over 30 years later.

As you can probably ell from my avatar,i am a big fan of 24, however this series has been slow and it is now getting a bit repetitive with yet another nuclear attack on America, even so, Jack is still quality.
