I hardly ever find professional comedians funny myself, of either gender. The Peter Cooks and Barry Criers of this world are few and far between.
I've never seen Jo Brand do a gig, but I think she's genuinely witty on panel shows, where she's responding ad hoc rather than 'making jokes' as such.

I think that about Jo Brand as well, but her 'stand-up' is woeful

a couple of fat jokes, two about men in bed and a crap one about her husband. Thats about all Jo Brand can do.
