I don't think the Mail will ever need to dust off the "Pools Power to victory" or "Pools over Power rivals" or "Pools to POWERful for ....." headlines.

They can lock them safely away with the "Stephensons rocket wins it for Pools" headlines

If I pay my £75 I'll have spent more time on the pitch than Alan Power.

I remember when we signed Power, our reserves had just got beat in the next stage of the play-off leagues (reserves), we'd got beat off Forest and he'd ran the show. When they released him ( and they must've had good reason to do so), I thought good signing for us that.
Anyway we all know now what an inspired signing it's been, he's cemented a regular place in the first team with a string of impressive performances, created lot's of goalscoring opportunities for the forwards, and been instrumental in our top six position in the league table. sadx

the fact that turner hasnt played him dont make him a bad player.

the ability is there as anyone who has watched him in the reserves will attest.like most of our flair players e.g rowell, boyd, jones, monkhouse, freddy, mcweeney etc he has never been consistent under turner. even gamble has been very poor in the last 4 games.

have all these lads suddenly become bad players? does every player we sign start off impressively and then turn to shyte ? or is is simply a case of the club/manager not having a clue what to do with them ?

Power played really well against the Mags on Tuesday night. Given how shyte some of the first team have been playing think Chip is right about playing one or two of the ressies.

Good to see McSweeny given a chance at Tranmere. One of the better players in a really drab game. He also played well against the Mags.

Having seen the ressies play a number of times this season I'm wondering if Westy has more of a clue than Tubby.
