A Night Of 'Early Doors'!!!!

After reading the Bunkerites praise of the sitcom 'Early Doors' and then watching the 1st episode on YouTube....(I'd never seen it before but our kid rated it aswell)....I ordered the Box Set off Amazon for under 8 Snodgers....it came this morning!!!! :coool:

Plus I was talking about it at work today and one of the customers overheard and he said it's the best sitcom ever aswell....it all bodes well!!!! :grin:

So tonight....our lass is having a drink with her mates and the bairn is at her mates so it's a night of 'Early Doors' for me and a pack of John Smiths!!!! :coool:

Bring it on!!!! :grin:

The Big Boys' Beano to York races is one of the best episodes of any comedy ever.

Ah, yes.

Yeah, the last episode tugged at the heartstrings.

I was actually at a pub quiz last night, and any question which we didn't know the answer to we put 'Pickles'. Our markers must have thought we were mad.

In fact I liked all the characters....even the Craig Cash character played by er....Craig Cash!!!! confised

The reason I never watched it originally....(Early Doors)....was because of him....I could not stand him in The Royle Family and stopped watching it after series 1....and started to hate the programme....and still do!!!! rage

He plays a normal bloke in ED.

In TRF, he plays a dipstick who comes across as a bit unbelievable.

I'm glad there are more than me that appreciate it anyway. Great comedy - all of the characters are well-drawn, my own favourite being old Tommy. It's a pity there aren't many pubs like that left anymore...

I only saw one series before I left but it was worth going home early for. Phil and Nige made it, that one where they were on surveillance and ordered a takeaway pizza was class, and the one where the lass found her Dad almost had me in shreds. It had everything. clappp
