is on a 3 year contract according to an interview he did with Sky Sports not so long back.

"Then my agent rang me and said Chris (Turner) was interested. I knew him from Wolves, when I was a youth team player, so I got the green light there and he was happy to take me.

"I went on trial and they offered me a three-year deal. I was delighted to sign, to have that security, and I have settled in so quickly. It's been great.

I would stick him out on the right wing and tell him just to run at players like an skool winger and cross the ball at every opportunity.

He's not a centre forward so lets just use his pace.

I really cant believe IOR would give him a 3 year contract.
Its beyond belief  banghead

Yeah the 'security' of a 3-year contract is just what's needed to bring out the best in a player who was pretty average to start with

He's been relegated with the last 3 clubs he's played for :uhoh:

And to think they might let Ritchie Jones walk away at the end of the season FFS

Colin Larkin reminds me of Russell Doig / Ali Gibb
I could offer more and i'm 20 clem

He's nothing like ali gibb in the slightest.

Ali Gill used to get the ball and if he had space he'd whip it in, gibb had zero pace. Larkin has a burst of speed but i can't understand why he is on a 3 year contract, Foley and Matty are both far better players than Larkin and with the right coaching could have offered more....

Which is about the same as Russell Doig, Colin Larkin and Ali Gibb strapped onto a quite heavy pallette. With some lead on it. sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Maybe you could go in as a loan signing. A loan from Fens chippie or summat? confised

A two month deal with a week option wouldn't make him any less like journeyman fourth division cack.

Players such as Larkin, Byjorrson, Freddy, Behan and Haslam should only be on 1 year deals.
I can understand Flinders, Mcsweeney and Boyd having longer deals, at least they have proved they can cut it at this level.
I tell you what. We are foooked if we manage to avoid relegation and this lot are still here next season.
We'll be lucky to win ten games!

The fact I can't even spell Morcambe shows the level of respect I have for such non league outfits.

I don't mean his playing style, just that he's a bit of a bit part player who we can all clearly see is not good enough. I don't think anyone will miss or even remember him 3 years from today.

i agree Larkin isn't good enough to start, maybe an ok-ish sub, but when someone claims Foley is better then you know they are talking shite

Well Larkin has done nothing for us to suggest he is any better than Baby David.

Apart from Larkin is possibly on at least a two year contract and on twice as much money.

Foley had talent but was very poorly managed, he wasn't a journeyman with more relegations on his cv than chris turner and michael proctor put together....

i don't believe you're still trying to breathe life into Frankenfoley, he's gone...Larkins not very good and neither was Foley, so comparing the two is pointless.

It would be like comparing white turd to brown turd as some philosopher once said.

He's certainly no Matty Robson, but then again none of the left wingers at the club are.
