why don't you ask the lads at Hartlepool Divers Club? They'll sort you out, one of the mainstays in there is also a coastguard and a good mate of mine. Do you want me to get in touch with him? Then if he's ok with it I'll pm you his phone number

That would be good cheers, I dont particularlly want to do it in hartlepool though as would be a pain coming all the way home every weekend. However I am sure they would point me in the right direction so his number would be great thanks

Scuba diving is worth doing, I first got interested by snorkeling on holiday which for the cost of not very expensive equipment is good value. Had the chance to dive on the barrier reef off Cairns in Queensland when we were over there and it was fantastic.

I did mine in the Dominican Republic did a five day course while on holiday (couple hours a day). Thought about doing it over here but the Hartlepool one is a British Sub-Aqua club and i think id have to take other exams to swim with them. So I'll just make sure when i book up to go away I make sure there is a PADI dive centre there.

you could always Try here first

Yeah, I've got my PADI advanced, I did the try drive in Jamaica, Scuba Diver in Hurghada and Open Water half in England and half in Oman. Then in Sharm El Sheikh I did the Advanced. Fantastic hobby, one of the few ways to feel completely weightless.

Thanks for the advise, I noticed that Hartlepool wasnt PADI but going to ring mick's mate for advise anyway. Think maybe a dive holiday would be better and just do it all at once.
