I was really hoping to see him get a game tonight in his actual position, but no, instead we had a right footed striker play left wing instead. What is the deal with him never getting a run out, ever!. I thought Larkin did well at times but its still not his position and i like many was hoping to see Freddie get a chance. I at least thought he'd get a game when Larkin went off but nooooooooo, on comes Ritchie Humphreys to play there for 25 mins. I just dont understand it, i asked CT in one of those Q&A sessions on the official site about why Freddie and Bjornsson never get much of a chance but he never answered the question. Does anyone have any ideas why he doesnt fancy the two, after all he signed them which makes it stranger! Id love to know the reasons sctatchinghead

I'll give you a clue, he didnt mean Fredriksen!. I think Larkin must sleep at the end of Turners bed every night like a little dog, keeping CT's feet warm so he can get a game, because from what ive seen he certainly is not better than Freddie(from the little ive seen of him).

Colin Larkin is shite, a player who’d be rated in the bottom half of the fourth division.

I'd rather see someone trying to prove them self than a proven journeyman. A rubbish signing.

re: that question you asked CT... I'm pretty sure I remember reading his answer to that, you should check the site out if it's still on there - though it was from a while ago and I think CT said he wasn't fit enough yet.

I noticed one question a bit on the same line as mine but he never gave a straight forward answer to it. How can he not be fit enough, its nearly the end of the season!

'a list'...? it would run to more pages than the Argos catalogue!

An interesting new concept of signing players though. Who would have the best stock? Argos or Index?

Go on then!

I'll just stick to this season;

Flinders 7; Started superbly dipped of late seems to suffer from losses of confidence but he's very young for a keeper still and will only get better. Will turn into a top signing I think.

Austin 8; The best full back we've had since Rob McKinnon

Leon McSweeney 3; Has had one good game, I'm not sure what he offers or what he is good at.

Behan 4; Started ok and holds up the ball outside the box at times well but never ever looks like scoring form open play and his work rate is poor when things aren't going well for him. He's had some of the worst games I've ever seen a Pools player have but also some half decent ones.

Boyd 6; I think he'd have done better if Turner had shown a bit more faith in him. Turner does not seem capable of getting the best out of him but he's still a decent player at this level.

Haslam 5; A squad player and no more but has done ok when called upon, more than capable of a doing job.

Fredriksen 4; Has not really been given any sort of chance in his proper position, I can't really rate him as a player I haven't seen enough. How much had Turner seen of him?

Larkin 3; One goal, basically a more travelled version of David Foley. Buzzes about but little to no end product.

Bjornnsson 4; Looks to have all the attributes to be an asset but seems lack any sort of nasty streak to play in this country. I'm not going to totally make my mind up but I can't see him making a major impact until he toughens up. He needs to show more desire.

Cherel 4; I've only ever seen him play once for the reserves, he looked alright. Another squad player it seems.

Hartley 6; I like the lad. Yes he might play like his boots are on the wrong feet at times but he can defend and is very strong in the tackle, if I was going to pick anyone in the team to contest a 50:50 it would be him. Not really a left back but has give his all and never hides. He also has the potential to get better but I don't think that will happen until he plays centre back.

Gamble 9; Looks like what we've missing for a while and could become a real favourite and future captain.

I'm not going to include the younger lads like Greulich and the loanee yet as he's only been here 24 hours!

Here's hoping most are only on 12 month contracts.
