Who's your favourite out of Blur & Oasis???? confised

Me....I'd take Oasis!!!! :sweet:

As much as I think 'Parklife' is a classic album....Oasis's first 2 albums are superior!!!!
I admit though that I haven't listened to much else by blur even though I've got at least 3 of their albums!!!!

And Damon is a little Middle Class tosser who thinks and would love us to think he's from a West/East/North/South London estate!!!!
Just another Jamie 'TwatTit' Oliver!!!!

don't be silly it's a modern classic!

Blur are more interesting musically,
but I'd rather have a pint with Noel or Liam

See chip and ECG. Oasis, simple one trick pony - enjoyed the start, got bored quickly. Blur - much more interesting (with the odd clanger - FFS, Country House?) and the side projects all interesting and very different.

at the time oasis - now blur/allbran as he developed - that carry on he's knocking out at the minute is not just damn fine but he's also enjoying himself - you tell me the last time the gallaghers enjoyed themselves playign the same chords but just in a different key and stating its our best album ever - oasis have some really outsanding and memorable tracks but they really have not changed tack at all.

I remember "There's No Other Way" getting into the charts, and I suspect like many thought they were just another Indie Band - The Charlatans were just breaking through, Inspiral Carpets, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, James all on the radar by then.... now, they've been around longer than virtually any of their contemporaries (James are about to reform btw) and yet continue to make interesting music. Oasis - I really like Morning Glory as an Album, but after that it's all gone a bit pear shaped hasn't it, every now and again a decent song comes up from them (I liked the one with the video that had the pall-bearers in last year) but it's just that - now and again. And if they'd written it 10 years ago you wouldn't have been surprised.

JAMES ARE REFORMING???

Cushty, very underrated in my book. Tim Booth has no right at all to be a singer, like that kid out of Embrace but as a band they were always superb.

One of my favourite songs is 'Just Like Fred Astaire.' :sweet:

Seen 'em at Reading in 1991, they blew the stage away. They played the intro to that for about five minutes before he came stamping on stage and started singing it.

chasing rainbows is one of those moments in life songs for me - the ones that tingle the spine and are meant to indicate something, but i can't remember what - might just have a bad back!
