Have to agree with TPP, didn't do a lot today at all. Have to say thought Power did lot of work, always looking for the ball and some decent passes.

Today was the best I've seen Power play and he was unlucky when he went close a couple of times in the first half.

Colin West's team selection baffled me today, mainly down the right hand side. Leon McSweeney is never going to play at right back for the club with the likes of Austin, Sweeney, Haslam and Clark ahead of him. So what did he take out of todays game? Nothing. It's poor man management IMO that a player who ran the show against a team currently in the play-offs about two months ago is now making up the numbers in the reserves. I could understand it if we had started someone sensible on the right wing but we started with Micheal fooking Mackay! McSweeney changed into a different player in the last 20 minutes when he went on the right wing and was involved in everything. Surely we should be using these games to get the best out of fringe players like McSweeney, develop their game and build their confidence? It would have also helped one of the youngsters to gain valuable experience at right back.

It's hard to take too much out of todays game given that we played against ten men for such a long time, we didn't really get going till about 55 - 60 minutes but once we did we were untouchable.

Bjornsson got better and better as the game went on, Greulich seems to spend his life chasing and chasing, Fredriksen looked tidy but his end product is schite and he's as weak as piss.

Some decent goals today, Bjornsson took his two superbly, the marking for Mackay's was dreadful but he did well to turn and shoot, keeper should have saved Brownie's first but the second was a lovely finish while Larkin's goal was a fantastic bit of skill.

Really? They should have told him to welcome to the board. He was awful at right-back and only came into the game once he was given an advanced role.

Apart from the Millwall game McSweeney has been shite anyway, no better than we already had, in fact worse.

What does he actually do?

I thought McSweeney did ok at right back, he got stuck in and did a good job in provoking their centre forward into giving him a bat and getting sent off.

I make no apologies for looking at the overall picture in all of this over the unimportant result from today

funny cos i heard he went ballistic after being subbed after coming on as a sub, called turner a bounder, and has as much chance of playing for the first team again as muttley.

so really it matters not a jot where he plays for the ressies.

if turner told west to play the fooker in goal he would have to.

Can't see that being the case if they're playing him for a full 90 minutes in the reserves and given him 4 sub appearances since that incident personally.

He's been about average compared to most of Turner's signings!

The lad was quite rated by Stockport fans and the damage he did second half against Milwall shows that he is a capable player. He's played right wing, upfront and central midfield for the first team and now he is playing right-back in the reserves, all of this in the first 6 months of him being at the club. It's no wonder he is struggling to settle.

It'd just be nice to see some decent man-magament to players from Turner and West for a change, how many of the whole current squad do people believe we have got the best out of this season? I'm sure most would agree it's a very small percentage.

And I thought you were talking about my first favourite player in a Pools team: the REALLY legendary Nigel Walker. Anyone know what became of him?

Not just the provoking, thought he done ok, competed very well against a difficult opponent.

I've just watched the reserve highlights and it looked to me that Rowell's passing was spot on.
Wasn't that him who threaded the ball through the eye of a needle for the sixth????????????
