Well I'm back at the luxury hotel in East India and Im about to enjoy a jacuzzi after the journey back from the Valley. We may have last but every player give their all tonight and restored pride to themselves and Pools. Charlton scoring with possibly only their 2nd meaningful attack, and the 4-5-1 formation working for us. A Behan penalty just after half time, which was almost saved after being struck with power down the centre of the goal , hitting the keepers legs before going in. At 1-1 we did seem comfortable and a goal from nowhere, in my opinion giving Charlton the win, I need to see it on tv as from my position at the other end of the pitch I don't know how it went in, but maybe I'm being harsh, it just didn't seem that well hit.

We at least battled for the 90 minutes even after oing a goal and then 2-1 down, as I have said a far better performance than that witnessed on Saturday against MK. Collins in my opinion was Pools man of the match winning almost everything thrown at him.

It may be another defeat with some now predicting doom and gloom and a relegation battle but on tonight's showing we can get the required number of points to enable us to stay in League 1. pride was restored even in defeat , it's not the end of the world, things look far better than at 5 clock on saturday. To be honest we probably deserved a point but it simply wasn't to be, things may get worse before they get better with Bristol rovers away on saturday before Gillingham, next Tuesday.

A couple of points from the difficult games ahead will prove a blessing and if we battle as we did tonight then we can get them and set ourselves up for the so called easier games.

Keep the faith it not as bad as it seemed on saturday.

Approx 70-80 Poolies there tonight , didn't seem many from the towm mostly Ex-Pat's.

Good lad's the Grand Central Lad's we got there we supported the team, they tried tonight some faith restored.

Just waiting for pizza delivery.

Conversation with pizza bloke

Have you met someone whose opinion is that it didn't give Charlton the win?
