Sounds like a man who thinks his job is safe.

The only thing that's gonna get rid of him is falling attendances, not results, by the looks of things.

If the club were peeved at the Oldham attendance they're gonna get a shock when there's less than 2,000 at the next home game.

Turner coming out with stuff like this will make me and many others keep our money in our pockets. There'll only be season ticket holders and the odd depressive at the next home game. FACT.

how long will it take for him to continue spouting this garbage out before IOR see he isnt the answer, he is blaming everyone but himself. He is the manager (all be it in name) and the buck stops with him end of, no amount of willing us to win and wanting it will help us he is tactically inept.

Will falling crowd and the ones that are there singing "Turner Out" force IOR into action, we need help and need it now.

Joe Gamble is now languishing in the mid-field of the Echo's 'Worst North-East team of the Week'.
OK, it's only the Echo, but what on earth can Saturday have done to the lad's morale, in his first game with us? If he'd been set up to fail, the outcome couldn't have been any worse.

There are so many things you could say about last Sat but, to narrow it down a bit, I'll just say that CT owes it to everyone to explain just exactly what he hoped to achieve by selecting that mid-field.

Well after 20+ years of only ever missing home games for weddings/special occasions that article is the final straw for me. My season ticket will not be getting used next game. FACT.

And i couldnt care less if that makes me less of a fan. Iv had enough of this shite.

I have a few boro supporting mates who I work with who think it cant be worse than what they are watching at the Riverside.

It just might be, Compo, I'll have to see.
To say the truth I've been losing interest for quite a bit, but this week-end reduced the interest to minus value.
Now I see a whole life-time of empty Saturday afternoons stretching out before me....just waiting to have cool things that aren't football put into them.

Yes. You see...it's like a form of hypnosis. I'm glad I've finally seen the light. Football supporters all over the world are having their lives ruined by letting themselves be tricked into thinking football is fun. Then, when it's not fun, some manager will pop up to tell them it's their fault.

I wasn't taking the great day comment literally, the thought crossed my mind that those who have decided they want him out were handed a shed load of ammunition. I'm not saying they're wrong mind you.

Only one way to get over it and thats win, however I cant see Tubby Turner creating any sort of confidence out of the players at the moment, he doesnt have the attitute to be a good man manger, you need to know when to shout at certain player and help the other that need it. Look at his record he is crap and we all know it.

He has no points at all, infact he doesnt have a leg to stand on.

He should be saying sorry, massivly, and assuring the fans it will never happen again, not blaming them!

I put this point on another thread but want to really know the answer from either (people on here in the know) or IOR:

When Turner was put in "tempory" charge of the club, did we even advertise the job and look at peoples applications, if so why not?

Something has to happen after Saturday.

If that something isn't getting a new manager then the only other thing that I can see stopping us having a crowd around or lower than the 2k mark for the Huddersfield game is at least 12 points out of the next 6 matches. And that'll mean beating some of the so-called big clubs.

If Turner is going to stay as manager then the players have to react to him and to Saturday, otherwise the way that he's talking he'll knock hundreds off an already small crowd. The way that he's slagging the fans off will give people an excuse to say they're not going while he's in charge unless results improve dramatically.

I'm pretty sure the Club didn't say at that time that they were looking for a manager.

An alternative form of protest would be to get 3000-4000 in to see the youth team rather than the first team.

or another protest would be, if ever we witness a performance of that ilk again, is to leave the ground in total and utter silence. No Booing, no abuse . . . nothing.

Turner is in a hole. This is his team now and there are no excuses. He needs to buckle down on the training pitch with them and get back to basics regarding formation, tactics, pride and desire.
If that doesn't happen quickly then IOR are businessmen and won't let sentiment get in the way of progress. He and Colin West need to work to save their jobs.
Turner has often responded to criticism and he needs to stop letting it get under his skin or he ends up making comments that compound the problem.

Well he shouldn't be giving 'those' the ammunition then by picking the players he is and playing them out of position and having no tactical awareness whatsoever!!!! confised confised

Oh....just remembered....CT thinks tactics aren't important in Football!!!! sadx

I posted this last season -

Before I buy a season ticket next season Turner will be gone and Hartlepool United will break the club transfer record for buying players. If not I will put the cost of a season ticket to towards buying a private registration plate.

I can't see me buying a season ticket for the first time in 14 years. I'm as angry as hell banghead banghead banghead rage rage rage

But I did give Turner a chance and bought a season ticket for the 15th year in a row. I thought if IOR are putting their money in they deserved my support. Well after Saturday I WILL NOT buy a season ticket while Turner is still in charge.

DID YOU HEAR ME Mr Hodcroft. You deserve my respect but Turner doesn't after his outburst about the fans of our club.

Some of the people that support our club earn nothing like those spineless wannabe's who played on Saturday. If I performed like they did in my business I would expect to be reprimanded at least if not suspended. They insulted us with the lack of effort and committment they showed on Saturday and heads should role.
