Did anybody see it on Wednesday?

I just caught the end of it when Tim Wonnacott was asking the "blue" team , before they were just about to see how their items which they had bought at Barnard Castle had got on at auction. Tim Wonnacott had asked them whether they knew how the red team had got on.

He joked that the blue team did not want to talk to them because the reds looked rather shifty, to which one half of the blue team replied:

You can tell. They're from Hartlepool!

I've just watched the episode on BBC iPlayer and found out that the blue team were from Middlesbrough.

And the worst part was - one half of the red team was from Hartlepool - and he told Tim Wonnacott he was a LIVERPOOL supporter!!!!

i read a story on the bbc website today about a plane that was meant to land at leeds but it was diverted to teeside to wait for leeds to clear the snow off the runway.

when it got to teeside, some 39 year old gadgy from hartlepool insisted on getting off the plane as he was only a taxi ride away from his gaff. the rozzers had to be called to arrest him in the end.

i can just picture the fooker on the phone to hudsons ordereing a taxi while trying to get his luggage out of the hold. rolfl

I heard that too, all getting a bit arsey cause they landed at Teesside. They wanna be grateful they landed safely.

It's post's like watching day time tv that help give students a bad name. You complain about prices at football ground and when seasonal work is available you sit at home watching day time tv.

Now I'm not knocking you visiting family for Christmas but your post was posted on January 7th, do you see anything ironic about that. For your information even those people who put their decorations up in late October have them took down as Christmas is finished (12 days of Christmas and all that, last night is Jan 6th). Get off your backside and get some sort of job.

I didn't start the Christmas holidays until the 18th December, so they've given me about a month to make up for it.

How many posts have Compo, Bob and Yubep got? And you comment on how others use their time? If POK needs to get a job, perhaps you all need to get a life? Leave him alone.

i will have you know i get paid a nice wage to sit here and post on this board

and no one is just saying oh get a job get a job.

In the past pok has complained about being broke and this and that, and how students should get the world brought to them on a plate at a discounted rate, people have simply pointed out he could get a job if he tried.

I don't think that students should have the world brought to them. I just think that if a few Clubs have student discounts than all the Clubs across the country should take part in the scheme.

To be clear, I brought up the episode of Bargain Hunt to highlight what I'd seen because I thought it would be relevant on here.

Why the fook should adults who choose to stay at school for an extra fews years get in cheaper than those who graft for a living?

Kids yes, OAP's yes, armed forces yes but students!! No farking way.

OAPs have already made a contribution to society. They get a discount.

Our brave armed forces are making a contribution to society by defending us from terrorism etc. They get a discount.

Students will make a contribution to society. Therefore, in my opinion, they should as well get a discount.

Most Coppers make a contribution to society.
Doctors make a contribution to society.

Worms make a contribution to society.

Should they all get in cheap? Come back when you've made a contribution then you can get in cheap as an OAP,

I'm retired, worked all my adult life, now have a part time job to supplement my pension.

The point I made was due to POK previously stating he believed ALL STUDENTS should get concessions to ALL FOOTBALL grounds within the UK. Point I was making was when he had chance to get some seasonal work he sat at home watching day time TV. That is ,of course his option, but if that's what he wishes to do, then surely he can't complain about not having any disposable income to do things like watch football.

And as far as I'm concerned it simply a view POK and I disagree on.

If I sat on a computer stating I couldn't afford a certain item or activity then I would expect people to say get off your A*** and find the income to do it.

I've seen worms getting under the perimeter wall, and spiders getting over it, without paying. When are the club going to address this issue?
