Of those two, I'd go for Williams' at Darlo. Absolutely sublime!!

If that had been in the Premiership, La liga or Serie A . . . . it'd still be being shown on TV now!

boydys 3rd against the wendys

maidens beauty against notts forest was it?

Big john dalys thundering header at cardiff

shuggys retaken free kick after the ref had disallowed the first which he put in only to see him smash in the 2nd one in exactly the same spot.

Joel porters solo effort last season when he beat 3 people and ran half the length of the pitch.

Richie humphreys beauty against acc stanley to start our unbeatable run

There are too many!!!

Definately Hugh the hammers goal vs Luton, right behind the goal and you could see what he was going to do as he lined it up, and i've never seen a ball hit as hard or true before. Stunning. His twice taken free kick against Blackpool i think was also excellent.

Steva's first goal against Barnet in a 6-1 win was pretty special, a couple of typical steva jinks before running half the lentgh of the pitch to score. I remeber it well as it was about 2 mins into the game which i had arrived at just before kick off from work, bought some pie and peas from the shack ( they were good ) and settled into my spot in the Town End. Que steva's magic and wild celebrations resulting in me wearing the pie and peas for the rest of the game. Well worth it though. Them were the days you'd go to a home game knowing we would turn over the oppo not hoping. Gravy.

I am with Bresslaw maybe wrong decade and I have a bias for 'Jackie', but two exquisite strikes from Brian best two ever as an individual from a Pools player.
As for the noughties you can only go for goals where players have beaten others rather than Huuuuuuuuuuuuugh thunderbolts so Porter v Gills.

One of Brians goals where he chipped it over a couple of players heads was awesome. The other one was not THAT special. I still have the highlights of it on video.

If you want to talk about a great Brian Honour goal then look no further than his winner against Stockport. Scored in the dying seconds of a League Cup Tie, after Mick Tait had equalised just before from a corner, with a dipping volley from 35(?) yards.
