Morning all, Leeds fan here ... Thanks for your admin guy replying and activating my account firstly!

I thought id come on here after the game on saturday and have a look at whats been said, mainly because I knew straight away there would be a post about the Leeds stewards. As there has been on pretty much every other clubs forums, including Kettering and Accringtons which to be fair, are hardly known for big 'reputations'.

Anyway, I saw saturday from my view in the kop aload of stewards going into your end and knew what was going on, the stewards at leeds are constantly asking people to sit down and threatening to throw them out (in the leeds end) not just the away ends. Its a complete joke, when theres thousands stood up and somehow they seem to pick the weakest to make an example of and kick them out!

The orange jacket stewards are mainly just an anoyance and if enough keep stood, they take the hint and fuck off for abit. However, the purple bibbed bouncer type ones are total and utter not nice people. They use force where its completely uneccessary and inflame the situations as they know only one form negotiation. Will they do it to Millwall when they come to ER? ... That is a simple no, because they know and no-disrespect intended here, that unlike Hartlepool, Millwall will all chip in and defend there own fiercely, infact you can bet the stewards/bouncers whatever they are wont even go near to telling people to sit down and even kicking them out.

Might be hard to beleive, but I personally have never had any trouble with the stewards, it just fucks me off so much watching them exercise some form of little hitler power over supporters and get away with it. They forget that without us they would have a job at leeds yet they treat the home and away supporters like shit.

Anyway, all I can say is if you saw or were involved in it saturday, complain like fuck to the club and your own, the more complaints they get there more chance they will look into it! It'll be exactly the same when Wycombe visit in january, same sort of posts on their forums about it all. http://WWW.WACCOE.COM ..... threads called "ER Stewards" you'll see its not just you guys it happened too

Oh and forgot to mention, the long black coat wearing ones are like the fuckin KGB, always on the headsets targetting people who theyve ear-marked! Its fucking wrong
Cheers

When we played Kettering, a fan ran on the pitch after we scored the first.

The 'REsponse Team' (cant you just imagine them telling women in pubs what their job title is) chased the guy but he was too fast.

After 30 seconds or so he came off the pitch and started climbing over the barrier with his hands in the air....then and only then as he had stopped and was climbing off the pitch did a response team 'member' run up behind him and elbow him in the back of the head sendin him down quite badly.

Such brave lads.

Last season I was in the East Stand (the one to your right as u stand in the away end). We played LEicester and the away fans were making throat slitting gestures to the young kids there (its the family area) and generally abusing 10 year olds....not just your bit of banter but way over the top. I went across o a steward who was stood there 5 yards away (in our end but next to the away fans) and as I approached him (I was perfectly calm and rational not some drunken slobbering beast) I as just starting to ask i anything can be done about this when he rounded on me with fists in the air as if I was charging him with a crowbar in my hands.....lol. He didnt do anything but I asked him what the fack he was doing.....I again then repeated if anything can be done....he shouts at me 'what the fuck can I do'...I replied I dont know, maybe contact secturity.... he wasnt pleased and told me to ge back in my fucking seat.

I asked for his number and noted it in my head but ultimately couldnt be arsed to do anything. I walked past the guy on the way out and laughed at him.

Maybe it needs one or two of these stewards to be badly beaten up for it to be stopped. I don't condone violence but some people ask for it and, in the case of the leeds stewards, actually start it.
Who is to blame for their actions though?????
As you two lads have said, it happens all the time, no matter who the visitors are. Therefore one must assume that the club organise and encourage it. Therefore the only answer is for the FA or whoever to intervene and threaten them with ground closure etc. Failing that, kick the club out of football altogether. Every away supporter and, by the sounds of you two, some home supporters would welcome that.
Why is it that everything that is wrong or nasty in football inevitably leads back to leeds door.
Lets face it, even a large number of leeds supporters wallow in the dubious limelight of being hated.
Clubs like leeds, millwall et al ought to be made an example of in my opinion.
Anyway thanks for your input.......an input which only underlines what every "normal" fan thinks of an afternoon out at elland rd.

Regardless of whose to blame, fans from both clubs agree that this need to be stopped.

I have recieved a reply from the Football League(FL@Football-League.Co.Uk). They would also like us to send it to football@leedsunited.com for the attention of the Safety Officer.

They have also stated that they will contact the Club for a copy of their response.

I would urge all who had problems with the barbaric stewarding to contact the FL and Leeds United's Safety Officer.

No.

That would be the worst thing that could happen.

It would justify everything they do now.

If away fans never turned up for a season they might just get the message ................ sctatchinghead .. nah, that would assume the club cared wouldn't it?
