our poem for the event...

Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the town,
The people could hear a most wondorous sound,
But 'twas not Christmas trumpets or Santa's sleigh bells,
The evening began with the great DRUNK IN HELL

As eardrums recovered and drinks were refilled,
A group of young fellows onto the stage spilled,
Full of good cheer with no hint of sobriety,
Act number two - BRITISH LICHEN SOCIETY

All People were silent, not a person drew breath,
For BENJAMIN WETHERILL & THE TRUMPETS OF DEATH.
As hearstrings were tugged and the snow fell outside,
The crowd were enraptured: ''Encore'' they all cried.

As midnight approached and the curtain came near,
The final ensemble brought joy and good cheer,
Fine fellows: good-looking and tres nonchalant,
The pageant concluded with IDIOT SAVANT

With the usual pomp and ceremony, Idiot Savant's Christmas pageant returns for its fourth year. The must see event of the festive season brings you the loudest band in the world DRUNK IN HELL, incisive three chord rants from BRITISH LICHEN SOCIETY, the refined beauty of BENJAMIN WETHERILL and the TRUMPETS OF DEATH and of course the Gents themselves.
Regulars will know that that's only the half of it. Do not miss!

as per its on at the Georgian Theatre, Green Dragon Yard, Stockton
Doors are at 8pm its £3 adv / £4 door

I'll be doing me wassailling an all and joining me this year is Hartlepool's/Pot House Folk Club's own top notch folk singing combo the Young Un's!!

It should be a great night, and would be brilliant if any of you's can make it down!

Well, I'm going to try and make it but that w.e. is pretty congested. Don't know why but I always end up with lots of arrangements at Christmas that I wish I hadna made.
